Awesome food! Awesome price! Awesome service! We had burritos with queso. Sooo good, the beans have loads of flavor, you don't find that every day. Best waitress! What a sweetie! WE WILL BE BACK.

We come to Lampasas often and have eaten here several times. Always love a good Mexican food meal!

The service and food is pretty good overall. Certainly not stellar, but it’s not poor either.

Tonight it appeared they were busier than expected and possibly understaffed as well. Our server (a gentlemen) was keeping a positive demeanor and did his best to keep up with our table but unfortunately our glasses of water stayed empty most of the meal. We waited an exceptionally long time for chips, salsa refills, and our queso appetizer as well as our dinner.

When our queso came to the table, it came in two small bowls and we confirmed we ordered a large. The young lady bringing the queso said two smalls were the same as a large. A little while later, a young man came to our table with two large quesos which we denied but will be important later when we discuss our bill.

Two of our dinners were correct (the special for the night was #30 and they were correct). My dinner (Mexican Salad) was supposed to be without beans but it came WITH beans. The fourth dinner was supposed to be puffy tacos with one extra. Instead, the extra taco came as a crispy taco.

With all of us having been in the service industry at some point, we can appreciate that nights like this happen. All service staff seemed to be working hard and maintaining a positive attitude despite being busy/understaffed.

The lost stars actually come from the billing and how it was handled when we tried to get it corrected.

We were overcharged for the two dinner specials.
Their explanation: “we haven’t updated our specials board” (see picture…their specials board is in CHALK). It seems that is a quick and easy fix. We 100% understand that the current state of the economy requires increased prices. We support that. However signage should be updated. I found it quite disappointing that we were not charged according to the prices we saw but instead charged for the “new prices” which were not visible.

It also appears we were charged for FOUR quesos. When asked about this, they only agreed to refund us for two.

The young lady who was assisting with the billing questions did not know how to properly perform a credit card refund so the refund was given in cash.

In summary, a quaint and nice enough small town Mexican restaurant. I have been to many that are far superior but our experience has always been pleasant enough and we’ve never hesitated to return when we are in town. Understaffing and long waits and order mistakes do not warrant a poor review unless they are recurring because these are things that are bound to happen from time to time at restaurants. Unfortunately the overcharges and lack of care with it was very disappointing and DID warrant a less than perfect review. We will be back so I hope this was an isolated occurrence and not what we should expect on future visits!

Three times I've gone to El rodeo and all three times my order has been messed up. If you can understand the difference between a taco and a burrito something is wrong.

I drive through Lampasas a lot, and this time I was lucky to find this terrific little restaurant. Great menu, great food, and great service. Will definitely be back.

First time eating here as we drove thru the area. Great wait staff. Attentive and Friendly. Quick. We had fajitas and guacamole live.flour tortillas were good. Overall Food was okay but not great. We like more bold flavor.

I found a piece of metal inside my breakfast taco it looks like one of them wire cleaning Pads for the grill I will not eat there ever again

Freaking incredible! I had the carnitas which happened to be the special. Delicious! But the thing that really caught my attention was the refried beans. So much flavor. Best refrieds I've ever had (except for my abuellas). I've yet to have anything here I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Try it. You won't be disappointed!

I went here for lunch and they had okay customer service but terrible portion sizes, 4.25 for two tortillas and my burrito was good but not the size it should be for the price

We come here at least once a week for friendly service, fresh tortillas and delicious food.
Ask for the habanero sauce if you like it spicy!

The quesadilla was at least as hard as a rock.we paid 51.00 yeah get a little better severance.

Tacos were so greasy, by the time I got to eat my 2nd taco, the shell fell apart & was not able to eat it.

Very good food. The tacos are really good, the Chile roleno I had today was really, really good. Decent pricing too.
Service is quick and always friendly.
Ps. If u order it to go make sure the Styrofoam tray clams don't tilt, cuz I'd blame that last review on your daughter not being a properly trained delivery driver or she sped around turns sliding all your food around. Lol karens.

Got a burrito w/everything and it literally tasted like dog****. I took one bite and was done. I new the quality has been "ok" since the last I ate there years ago but holy**** they really just don't care about quality of their food. Giving 1/5 stars since 0/5 is not possible.
