I have been taking my garments to Elisa's for the past several years and their work has been good enough for me to return to get additional garments altered since I did not want to risk trying a new place out. That being said, I have tolerated the unprofessionalism between both the older and younger woman for way too long now. This last experience is the cause of this review and my search for a new tailor to provide my alteration needs. At the store I rarely receive a welcoming greet and at most times an awkward wait before being assisted. After the initial greet and discussion of my needs to get a few pants altered, I changed and let her begin. I initially wanted to get the pants hemmed but I asked to get them tapered as well. Upon the additional request for the pants, a disgruntled groan was made and she began to make further adjustments. All while being short and not too helpful with finding out the needs I was looking for. After measuring the pants I was prompted that I need to wait at least two weeks to avoid any early accommodations fees. I was told and have the slipped that show that pants will be done by 1/25/23. I waited until 1/26, the next day after the initial completion date to pick up my pants but I quickly found out that my pants were not ready yet. I was told they will be ready the next day on the 27th. No call or explanation was provided on why the pants were not completed on the agreed date and I was charged the full, unknown price for their late services. I usually do not write reviews to places or share my bad experience's online but the unprofessionalism and lack of attention to customer service at Elisa's has come to this. I hope this review is helpful for those looking for alteration needs as you can get an insight of the business this seamstress provides or at least to help avoid future headaches, time and money. Best of luck to Elisa's as you lost a reoccurring customer today.

Awesome experience. Drop off was quick and was done before needed. Price was awesome for how quickly turnaround was! Will definitely be using again!

She did the patches on my cut. I'm pretty sure she hasn't done many if any of them in the past. But she did a very speedy and professional job! Will continue to use Elisas place whenever needed!

Took two work shirts in to have altered. Specifically asked for specific length on cuffs. Collar Young lady understood what I wanted. I picked up and they added a rush fee on ea of them. Paid and left, went to work and older lady Removed cuff length and half. I couldn't wear to work. Returning and explained, older lady had cut sleeves and removed from above reflected strip on forearm, in turn reflected strip was above elbows. And couldn't button cuffs since they now were on forearm. She still had material from first two. I still needed third, which lady altered to first request. When not needed for rush job, third shirt was still same price as first two. So I paid $196 total each at $60+tax. $135.31 for two $61.00 for one. Seems they change prices for convenience to make customers pay regardless of service. And to have to have two shirts repaired and still charged for rush is ridiculous, guess the inconvenience of not having them done right first time didn't matter since I was still charged for rush fee. $10/ea.when I never requested to begin with. But I guess they assumed every customer is well off to afford to pay whatever. Definitely will not return, and definitely take my business elsewhere. Now my shirts look ridiculous since lady had to do a patch job to lengthen original sleeves. Language barrier is definitely an issue.

I took my wedding dress in for alterations to the straps and length. The younger girl was very helpful, sweet and professional. I didn’t have the shoes yet, and she said to just come back when I did so they could precisely get the length I wanted. When I went back, the older lady helped me. She was just as helpful and sweet!
I cannot imagine Elisa’s being less than exceptional for your clothing needlework!

Quotes one price when dropping off garments and Speaks very good English. When picking up garments, price changes and can no longer speak English.
Dropped off dress and had the seamstress initial both tickets with quoted price. It took 20 minutes for her to agree to initial the tickets, she said she didn't do that. So I asked for a written quote and she said she wouldn't do that, she would remember me and what she had quoted. Finally, she said fine and initialed the tickets. When I went to pick up the dress, it wasn't completed and I was told to return in a hour and it would be ready. The young women at the front was very rude and suddenly no one could speak English. I showed the young women the initialed ticket with the price quote and she began using profanity in Spanish, for which I and another women standing in the business understand. Very unprofessional and I will never use this business again.

I took my dress to several places and everyone said they couldn’t work on it. A friend recommended this place! I brought it in and she didn’t hesitate, the dress fit perfectly after i got it back (this dress was leather) left the place beyond happy! The young girl at front desk is also super friendly and professional don’t let the reviews fool you, i will be coming back from now on

It’s very unfortunate that you would take the time to post this awful review to make yourself feel better about your poor attitude.
The owners mother passed away, we message you along with other customers on behalf of the matter.
All of our customers where very understanding except you.
You did not have any compassion
And proceeded to insult me and the business.
Therefore you where asked to pick up your garment. The only one that deserves an apology is your husband for having to go through the trouble in picking up the garment on behalf of your poor attitude!
We will Not be needing your business anymore.

Awful unprofessional experience GO ELSEWHERE. The daughter who runs the front told me she'd have my child's flower girl dress for my wedding ready by 9/20 (straps shortened) nothing major. They had it sitting for 2 weeks mind you. She then texted me 9/19 at 9pm to come and get the unaltered dress, that they couldn't do the repair and were closing the following day for a family emergency. I told her I had a sleeping baby and could not rush into town to pick up the dress, she said I was being rude and she "wasn't going to go out of her way to help me. " My husband drove into town to pick up the dress same as we left it. Now I have one day to find someone to fix her dress or i'll have to do it myself. So horrible, I really wish I read these reviews prior to choosing them it seems she is a real problem.

The owner is nice but the daughter's attitude is horrible. Worst customer service I have encountered! Dropped my dress off 3 weeks ago and the daughter asked me what day for pick up. I told her the 23rd. Went to pick it up and it was not ready. The owner politely told me she can have it ready in an hour and I told her that was fine. I had no issue with that because she was nice and apologized. But then I go to pick it up and the daughter has this horrible attitude and charges me more than I was quoted at drop off! So by then I'm extremely upset because my dress was not ready and I'm being talked to like I'm wrong! I never leave reviews but today I felt the need to do it! The daughter needs a serious attitude check and work on her customer service skills!

I took my daughter's BJJ Gi to have two patches sewn on. When I went to pick it up, I saw that one was not centered and the other was completely crooked. The lady that helped me suddenly stopped speaking English and resorted to Spanish after pointing out the mistakes. She couldn't argue the crooked patch because it was obvious, but she had another worker argue the off-centered one. The girl did remember my initial visit and told me I had asked her to place the patch at the bottom. I reminded her, that is not what I had said and shown her again what I had wanted. She went on to argue, which I found odd given this is a place of business and they had already made one obvious mistake. The owner seemed angry and continued to speak Spanish. I am not a Spanish speaker. The girl assisting her told me they would center the patch they placed at the bottom but would charge me again. Unbelievable! I told them to refund my money and I'd simply take my business elsewhere. The owner then takes a razor blade and cuts the patches off angrily. There were no apologies, nor any desire to satisfy their customer. I'd be careful having any garment altered here. You may end up with something you can't fix. I am thankful to have the outlines so that I can show the work that was done. I wish I could post pictures.

I understand spanish and I didnt enjoy being insulted in Spanish, just because someone may not understand what your saying doesn't mean that you have the right to talk about them.they don't speak English.they also have fake reviews.

The lady that runs this place is rude a few months ago my mom came into have her wedding dress fitted fr her renewal ceremoni she sed that they made her feel really uncommfeertable and she called me crying to let me know what happened I just found this place after searching for alterations I recommend hem and hers I was surprised at the reviews on this place very good but the all have the same names and are fake I think.fake reviews bad place rude owner

The item I took in was a plain top that needed the bottom cut and hemmed. No special cuts, threading, or complete remake of the top. The workmanship was good but the price of cut and him was the same price of the top. Will not do that again! Way over priced.
