Elliott's Hardware reviews
20I called to ask if they cut car keys if I bring my own blanks. The lady on the phone told me yes but was not 100% sure. She was too lazy to ask someone to confirm so I wasted an hour round-trip driving in traffic only to find out that they do not cut car keys if you bring your own and they couldn't cut the car keys I brought in anyway. Yet they advertise keys made. The manager needs to either train his employees better or fire those that just don't care enough to be bothered.
Been going here for years. They have so many speciality items that Lowes and Home Depot don't have. Further, they actually have the store staffed well so you can get some help. And i decided to review today because nobody had ag grade sulphur pellets within 20 miles. They had a 40 pound bag for $27. Give them a try. You'll be happy you did.
Best place to get hard to find hardware like nuts & bolts.
Try to find nylon locking nuts for a #12 - 24 threads per inch bolt at HD or L's.
I will NEVER go to a big box hardware store again. Elliott’s is amazing. Plentiful, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable people abound. I was in the store to find some hard to locate screws. I was greeted at the door and no fewer than 3 people asked me if they could help.
Once I got to the fasteners department, Richard searched and found my screw to fix my key fob… THEN HE ACTUALLY FIXED IT FOR ME!
Quality products, great selection, wonderful employees and attentive service. This place is my new go-to for everything in the hardware or fixtures universe. If you go, you’ll see what I mean.
They have almost everything you could need but a bit pricey. But when you need something.they probably have it!
Great place for hard to find fasteners and plumbing supplies. Very well stocked hardware store!
Elliott's has a good selection. Not exactly the same as the original from it's previous location across the street. Friendly. I would say ACE Hardware has a similar easier to shop footprint. However, Elliott's has a much larger fastener section. And for all those people with loose things to fasten, this is a great place for you.
Genuinely interested in my project. Took time to call another store and find the piece I needed. Thanks Matt, Mark and Augie.
A real hardware store with actual knowledgeable staff ready and willing to help customers find the right parts/tools for their problems.
Rescued by yet another low value part at this store that the bigger chains decline to carry. Together with more than adequate staffing, shopping experience here is very pleasant.
They have a diverse selection of coffee beans and a gleaming pro grade grinder.
The tiny cast iron skillets are very economical too.
I tried getting a key cut here but after being told to go to the back of the store by the two employees at the register to get it made and waiting for a while no one was there or came to help. Ended up going to home depot down the street to get it done.
I come to Elliott‘s for ease and accessibility. But there is one girl at the register who makes me feel like I’m in the wrong store. Every time I’ve asked her some thing at the register, she stares at me and just nods one way or the other for an answer. For example today, I asked her if I can ask her a question and she just stared at me, so I asked her again and then she nodded. As soon as she saw me pull a plumbing fitting out of my pocket (before I ask the question) she says I don’t do this, I just work the register. And my question was not even about the plumbing fitting, it was about a cashier question. The small stuff like this just me, as a customer on the back foot.
Needed new brackets for bathroom mirror. Elliot's had them. The associate found them very quickly and we were in and out within about 15minutes.
The guy i talked to knew his stuff absolutely he was the older gentleman back in nuts & bolts
I’m not really a person the brags about things “but” if they don’t have what you are looking for they’ll find out who does. That’s rare in the day and time … kudosto the staff at Elliot’s
Great hardware strore. Go to place for door hardware and faceplate. They can even repair some furniture.
Debit card machine broke on my first visit lol. Wasnt able to make my purchase because i didnt have any "cash on me. Still more convenient than Home depot
A Great hardware store, but the mask wearing by employees makes me feel unsafe. Most assume that anyone still wearing a mask is an anti-vaxer and is not vaccinated. It makes me wonder if the same people still wearing a mask have been immunized against chickenpox, mumps, polio etc. I will shop there again when the masks are gone. I also wish they were open later. I often have to drive to Westlake Hardware in Farmers Branch because they are open later.
Superb help for the DIY initiate and has the goods when the big box stores fail to deliver. Make Elliots your first stop and you just might get er done in one trip! Look for Augie or Frank, they are 1st class and know the tricks of the trades.
Great store, highly knowledgeable sales and technical staff. Far better than this Big Box stores where you normally cannot find any help.
