3The room was nice. Very convenient location since we walked to our concert and took a stroll in the park later. The happy hour was good too. They will make it a double shot if you ask for it. Buffet was legit good omelets
The elevators work. The staff was friendly enough. The rooms are terrible. I’ve been staying at Embassy Suites since I was a kid (Dallas, San Antonio, Albuquerque etcetera) and have always been impressed with the rooms, staff and breakfast buffet…until now. We had to change rooms because the first room was so tacky. Stains everywhere. A maintenance guy had to fix the bathroom door. Weirdest door I’ve ever seen…slides (?) and doesn’t lock. Bathroom door was same in second room. And no tub, just a shower. We said, ”Oh well. We won’t be spending much time in the room. And it’s only two nights. ” Dining area was nasty. Food was mediocre at best. Won’t return.
I had a very nice stay after I switched from the Hampton Inn down the street. Pros- Front desk & housekeeping was very attentive. Room was very clean. Breakfast & nightly happy hour was great!
Cons- Noise from the street was very loud the entire weekend. (Despite being on the top floor-19th floor) Construction is right next to the hotel/pool. Business center was down so couldn't print work documents.
