Emler Swim School of Austin-Westlake

Emler is an excellent swim school! Their methods are very effective, and the instructors are high quality. We’ve liked how they push the kids to learn more, but always keep things positive. Over the summer, we’ve enjoyed daily lessons because kiddos can make quick progress and build on their skills efficiently (plus, they can immediately apply what they’ve learned at pool parties and such). The manager and her lieutenant staff at the Westlake location are excellent.

We were really nervous about trying swim school because aurora was really starting to not like bath time. After just one session with Miss Mary (Westlake) her baths became so much easier and fun. Aurora learns more and more each class and I see her get more excited each time we come. Thank you so much for making this a great place for us to bond, make friends, and learn together. We can’t wait for next semester!

I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the remarkable impact Mr. Von have had on our daughter's life. At the age of 6, she had a strong fear of water, which made learning how to swim incredibly challenging for her. However, everything changed when we had the privilege of meeting Mr. Von.

His expertise, patience, and genuine care for our daughter's well-being made all the difference. Under his guidance, she not only overcame her aquaphobia but also gained the confidence to embrace swimming. His teaching methods were effective and tailored to her specific needs, creating a safe and supportive environment for her to learn and grow.

I am truly amazed by the progress she has made under your tutelage. Witnessing her transformation from a fearful child to a confident swimmer has been a joyous experience for our entire family.

We’ve been taking lessons at Emler for 9 (!) years. We recently did
3 weeks of daily lessons to improve our 7 year old’s strokes. His teacher Myan has been excellent and we have seen so much improvement! She is warm and has a great rapport with the kids. Also can’t say enough great things about the manager Mr John who always greets us by name.

We love Coach Lauren and Coach Brittany. They have been great with our kids and they are excited for swim lessons with them each week. Its been fun watching them get stronger in swim through these great coaches.

We really appreciated the attention Ciara gave in helping our daughter at her lessons. And the front desk staff was always helpful.

Instructors are amazing, lack of flexibility in makeups is terrible.

Lauren and John are fantastic instructors, as is Ella. My daughter gave a hard no about getting in the pool, but Lauren and John managed to convince her and then went above and beyond to give her more time in the pool that she had missed.

The staff is amazing, but overall I’m not satisfied with Elmer’s reimbursement policy. With young kids, it’s natural to miss classes - they get sick all the time! But emler only lets you makeup 2 classes the whole program, and you have to purchase the makeups! Overall we will miss out on about $100 of value due to this policy. British swim school allows unlimited makeups.

Emler Westlake has been a fantastic experience for our kids! Every teacher we’ve had has been amazing: Journee, Ciara, Mary, Ella, Chiann, Abraham, and Jacinda. The managing staff are on top of things, professional, and friendly—thank you, Megan and Laura, for making each class a smooth and fun experience!

We have been so pleased with our experience at Emler Swim School-Westlake - from the helpful and friendly admin staff to the superb teaching of our 2-year old son's teacher, Ms. Chiann. Ms. Chiann is not only knowledgeable and effective at teaching swimming skills, she is incredibly loving and encouraging with the children. Our son started out pretty nervous about the water, and he is now smiling, laughing, and confident. He looks forward to his lesson every week. Thanks to Emler, and huge thanks to Ms. Chiann!

Has taken our toddler from a writher-and-screamed to a back-floating, eyes-in-the-water, jump-turn-swimmer! Ms Britney is the best. Thanks guys!

Our 5yo daughter has attended Emler since she was about one year old, and we've always been happy with this team and the quality of the lessons. I was at a lesson earlier this week watching my daughter when I encountered something phenomenal and wanted to share. There was a private lesson one lane over from us, the teacher's name was Cheyenne. The teacher had such a great moment of excitement when the student got something right. You could tell how excited Cheyenne was that the student had done something right after trying. It was great to hear from one lane over and wanted to share.

I can’t say enough good things about this Emler location! The staff is extremely kind, personable, and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to make sure my daughter is comfortable and successful; she can’t wait to go to swim every week and loves her teacher Emily.

Have no idea how this location has 5 stars. The place is jammed packed (Saturday morning class). Nothing like what you see in the photos posted. You have to be constantly careful not to bump into other parents/students. One of the instructors was brand new and had no idea what they were doing (a supervisor finally stopped by to help her in the last few minutes of class), and the other instructor had poor hygiene and was super sick and coughing violently the whole class. The place overall could use some cleaning/maintenance.

Are we continuing classes? Sure - because they have a no refunds policy. Will we sign up again - probably not. Unless this was a one off experience and improves from here.

Just make sure to visit the location at your scheduled time before you pay. So that you get an idea of what it will be like.

Love Emler. Both my grandsons have gone and loved it. Oldest is now a great swimmer and youngest is almost there. Great management and great instructors. Shout out to Miss Brittany and Miss Chyann. Highly recommend
