Escapology Escape Rooms Austin, Round Rock TX

Always a fun time and great for family, friends, and the kids! We have completed five rooms so far and excited for new rooms. The staff is always super friendly!

The staff was friendly. Our game master Bryttne Wardlock was very helpful. We were able to escape from Arizona Shootout room because of our game master's help!

Our group of 3 players have done 15+ escape rooms across the country with more than a 90% escape rate - and we were very excited to try this room in Round Rock, TX during our "Escape-venture", where we scheduled 4 escape rooms in our 4 day vacation to Austin with different companies. Escapology was very clean, had a nice lobby, and very polite employees. The concept behind each room was very interesting, and the puzzles were pretty standard. The background was a bit more in depth than usual, with each employee wearing a lab coat and quoting background stories - a very interesting aspect that we had never seen before. Ultimately, we did not escape from our first room; Under Pressure (we scheduled the hardest room since we have so much experience and have broken out of several rooms with the same 5% success rate), primarily due to counter-productive hints and clues, and puzzles taking several minutes to unlock "because it's a 1940's theme and things didn't 'work as quickly'". (A direct quote from employees.) Funny how that works, in a situation where time is of the essence and every second matters. After contacting the company, we spoke to the manager / owner who offered to bring us back for a second on-the-house game today.

It. Was. Horrible. We escaped - but I can honestly say it was a 2/5 star experience, and would have been much worse if we were not such experienced players. Unfortunately, our escape did not feel like a success or something to celebrate. Our game guide switched halfway throughout our game, and was very distracted, offered hints for parts we had already completed, answered one of our questions completely incorrectly - therefore having to correct himself 3 times after we finally figured out the answer. Turns out - we had actually solved the room several minutes earlier. The door did not pop-open like every other escape room we have been in, and we almost did not escape within the time-frame, despite being done and repeating the final puzzle over and over. Once again - due to a game guide who did not pay attention to the players. Very inconvenient and not helpful for new players at all. I am very disappointed to have to leave a bad review on an escape game, as it is our favorite hobby - but this is one of the least thought-through games in the Austin area. It was very unfortunate to see a location that focuses more on reviews and perspective rather than game-play. We are looking forward to playing Escapology Las Vegas in a few months - and hopefully we will be able to leave a better review!

Took my son and his friend's for his birthday and we had a blast! We didn't "escape" but it was so much fun. All of the staff were amazing and friendly. Definitely will be coming back

We have done all of the rooms here and we love love love this company. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are really fun and it's a great challenge! I recommend it to all of my friends and to anyone who would be interested!

We were caught in traffic but the team did whatever they could to accommodate us, allowing us to have a really good game. The game itself was fun and allowed for the whole family to participate.

Awesome family experience! Our 2 daughters (12 and 9) had a blast and cannot wait to go back. The team was helpful, professional, and enthusiastic. Looking forward to our next visit!

Different experience. I really liked it. There were 5 of us. Just the right amount to still be able to see and get to everything and work together for the size room we were in.

Amazing! My friends and I played Budapest Express. The rooms are built with such a clever intuition, the story is amazing, the crew is ready to help you. We will definitely come back.

During the under pressure room there was a faulty cable that held us up for 5+ minutes.

We needed up running out of time on the very last puzzle. If we had just had those few minutes it would have been auch better experience.

Our game master did not seem like they were paying attention either.

How so much! We had 9 in our group and booked 2 rooms. It was a great family night of entertainment. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This was our first escape room experience. I can’t thank the staff enough for an awesome experience! Not knowing Budapest was the second hardest, i pick that for my son and I. The room-props etc were nicely done. Anyone looking for something truly different and fun needs to come here. The staff was the game changer for us. They were helpful, nice and fun to interact with. Try it once and you will be addicted. We signed up for the Cuban crisis a few days later

Great rooms here for families and smaller groups. We did one with just the two of us, and one with 6 including 2 kids ages 7 and 13. The rooms flowed well with fun and original puzzles, and the staff were all very helpful. Thanks!

Fantastic Escape room. We Beat the time! We completed in 52 min 12 sec. (it took long but we still beat the hour.lol.)
Katlyn was fantastic.

The puzzles were interesting but some of the equipment did not work properly and the hosts did not appear to be paying much attention to us - we did not get any "nudges" and hosts did not know where we were in the puzzles when we asked for clues. Because of those elements we just barely did not finish in time which was sad.

This place was pretty awesome! It was me and my husband's first time doing this type of thing. We did the Arizona shoot out. It was a really neat experience and we had a lot of fun! It did pick the hell out of our brains though! The staff is awesome and so nice.

We had a blast! Concerned that a senior and two 9 year olds could save the world and find the Antidote but we did! Our Game Master Natalie was the greatest - just the right hints/nudges to keep us on our toes. The kids talked about it non-stop after. All the staff was welcoming and helpful. So excited we booked 2 days in a row!

Great fun! We all voted on a Team Outing and chose to go to an Escape Room, Escapology was a great choice! I must say, that unlike other Escape rooms even the entry and main rooms had a theme! We were also kind of shocked that the escape room had 3 rooms! Just so much fun, thank you to the Escapology team in Round Rock, TX.

Wendy and thomas are awesome! Wendy was super informative, my buddy and I beat both cuba and antidote and this is one of the best escape rooms we’ve been to!
