November 2022 is the first time we visited Evergreen for our Christmas tree and it will now be our go-to farm. It was such a lovely experience. We opted for one of their imported trees just because of the softer needles given we a young child. It is still so fresh and it’s been almost 6 weeks since we purchased it!

They have a lovely gift shop and we were able to bring our pup.

The first photo is us taking it down and the second photo is the first day we put it up. Very good quality tree!

Highly recommend this little gem to kick off your holidays. We have had a positive experience 2 years in a row at this tree farm and will surely be back again next year! So happy this family run place continues! The young staff are very helpful and work so very hard. We have gotten the pre-cut Fraser furs each year as they have an ample selection, including the big 10-14 footers (which is our style)! Great customer service from start to finish each time. Our kids also have a great time here and we look forward to another trip back ️ Huge thanks to you all for making our holidays special

The absolute rudest old woman works the counter. Disappointing pumpkin patch and atrocious service. A handful of crummy “attractions”. A decrepit, run down tetanus disaster waiting to happen. For a place who has a sign front and center stating “Customers are Number 1”, my family was treated poorly by the old woman. Poor treatment from a woman on the Elgin ISD school board, shameful.

My husband and I recently moved to Texas from Arizona 4 weeks ago. Being new to the area, we did a quick Google search for live Christmas trees in our area and after seeing a lot of places already closed for the season, we found this farm! Their you-cut lot was also closed for the season, however, their pre-cut lot did not disappoint! We chose this 8.5ft tree. It smells great, super green in color, and so full! The price was reasonable as well. Service was quick and easy. Glad we found our tree at this farm!

Drove 30min with my 6 and 2yr old boys. Arrived at 3: 45 to get pumpkins on a Wednesday. Google said they're open 1-5: 30. Got here and nobody here. Let the boys use the bathroom after the drive and an older gentleman pulled up in a white truck saying they're closed. I let him know they should update their hours on Google as they say you're open 1-530 today. He said we can't do anything about that. I let him know they could and he just said well we didn't and we're closed then drove off. Disappointing drive and complete lack of concern from someone who if I had to guess is either an owner or at least someone in management.

I'm not knocking it for being a small family operation. I am knocking it for the total lack of support. We were left at the precut trees and had to walk back after waiting 30 minutes. Step up your customer support please

BEWARE, THEY CLOSE 30 MINUTES EARLIER THAN LISTED!
If you aren't letting people pick trees out after 5pm, then you should list 5pm as your closing time. Got there minutes after 5pm and we were told "we lock the gate at 530p. " Not driving an hour to get here for that. Went around the corner actually got customer service there.

I really liked the idea of this place, especially as an alternative to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm. I really struggled with how decentralized everything was, how there weren’t clear instructions, and how overwhelmed staff seemed to be. I imagine the crowding was a result of Austin’s population growth and maybe in the past it wasn’t like this, but we couldn’t find a saw, we didn’t know which path to take, which trees were available for cutting and which weren’t, where to take the tree once it was cut, and there wasn’t anyone to check our ticket once we paid. Again, I think they were overwhelmed, it just wasn’t well run when we went.

The farm was nice enough to let us come early before the season started because my husband is in the army and we will be moving during the holidays. However I tried to nicely mention to them that both our dogs got burdocks in their paw pads just seconds after being in the field so that other people wouldn’t have that happen to their dogs since the farm is pet friendly, they were rude and sarcastic back to me. Our dogs were in a lot of pain, paws are swollen, and we keep finding splinters in them and in ourselves. I know it’s outside and we weren’t prepared for that happening since like we told them
This was our first time cutting a tree down. I just am very disappointed in how they responded when I wasn’t blaming them I just didn’t want it to happen to anyone else’s dogs. Also the owner was very cold to my husband and I have my own assumptions as to why but when my husband tried to shake his hand he looked down at his hand and completely ignored it- if it was due to covid he should have had a mask on or said it was for that reason instead of being rude.

Got a gorgeous tree here! FYI - check the trunk bc it’s gorgeous but crooked All part of the memories- kids helped picked it out and cut it down so it’s not perfect. It’s beautiful and smells wonderful. The fam had fun and close to Austin. For those complaints about teens working there-give them a break. Sheesh. Probably their 1st job. They were very helpful with us. Buy your tree local if u can.

Had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience at the Evergreen Farms Christmas field. Coming from Austin, we called in advance of driving 40 mins and asked if we came by 5pm if we could still cut our tree down. We were told that as long as we came before sunset (5: 30pm) we would be fine. With that information, we drove 40 mins and arrived excited to cut a tree for the first time only to be told it was too late for us to go into the field- even though the sun was still up and we had 30 mins before sundown. Not only were we disappointed by this new, mismatched information, but the older gentleman was extremely rude in his tone and language to us. For someone working on a Christmas farm where you’re supposed to spread holiday cheer, this is sadly not the environment we were looking for. Also no employee was wearing a mask or keeping a social distance, as advertised on their website. We ended up leaving and driving 40 minutes home without a tree. Don’t waste your time here unless you’re looking to meet the grinch himself and to ruin your Christmas spirit. On top of it all, it was my birthday.

Their motto should be: “Come happy, leave sad and with covid”

Overall an okay, although definitely confusing, experience. We couldn’t figure out where to go or how to get a tree at first, and it was difficult to figure out who to speak with for assistance. The main reason for the below average review, though, is the gentleman (who appeared to be the owner) who was very rude to his staff. He berated them openly in front of customers and seemed annoyed to be there the whole time. We like the tree we got, it just wasn’t a very positive environment.

My family has been going to Evergreen Farms for many years. We have enjoyed many years and three generations of tree hunters. Can’t wait to be there again to end the crazy year of 2020. Thank you Evergreen Farms for helping our family’s Christmas Magic come true. The Schumann Family

Despite what their website says about COVID protocol, they had numerous service people and customers not wearing masks. The hayride driver and the gentleman giving directions in the field had no masks and were not keeping social distance when giving instructions. We decided to walk to the field when we saw how packed in the tractor was (with numerous people not wearing masks). The gift shop workers only put on mask when someone entered the shop. We have loved going here every year.but they don't seem to be taking public safety seriously.

We have a family tradition of driving out to The Evergreen Christmas Tree Farm in Elgin every year for about 10 years now. The sweet family that runs the place is very helpful. The kids enjoy the hayride, games, activities, smores, maze, and everything else. Sure it's a little busier than the old days, but show up early when they open and you'll be delighted at how quiet and laid back this Christmas Tree farm is.

Dont use this place horrible service. I waited 15 minutes trying to get help getting a tree kept getting told to find someone in a green shirt. Another family walks right in and gets the Christmas tree I've been waiting to get helped with. Never had this problem at elgin tree farm.

We went here today for the first time and had a good experience. Don't expect perfection - just enjoy this sweet, family-owned business and all the quirks that come with it. I enjoy the small town feel as opposed to big, rich, commercialized farms. You may not get the perfect tree, but you are supporting someone's family. My kids enjoyed the playground, marshmallow roasting, and tractor ride. Go early in the season to find a better tree - and take the time to really look. The employees are friendly and will help you if you ask.
