I’ve been robbed twice at this store by the owners. Make sure you count your change and not leave your credit card behind. They’ve got professional scam artists working behind the counter. Watch out!

I usually stop here on my way home from work to buy cigarettes. I like to use Samsung Pay in order to get points. The sign on their door states that they accept Samsung Pay as well as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, etc.

One time I went to buy a carton of cigarettes and the girl said that Samsung Pay wasn't working. Okay, I figure she probably just didn't know how to do it, so I paid by credit card with no problem.

Well, I went to buy a carton of cigarettes today, went to use my Samsung Pay and the guy behind the counter asked "Debit or Credit? " I said it would be credit. He replied with "Only cash or debit". I asked why, he shrugged and said it was per the manager.

Okay, so GIANT RED-FLAG here. I KNOW that according to their agreement with these companies that they HAVE to accept these forms of payment as long as the card reader is working. He didn't state it wasn't working AND he said I could pay using my debit card. If I can use my debit card, the machine is working well enough to use my credit card or Samsung Pay for that matter.

So this tells me a few things. They are either trying to avoid the fees they are charged by the credit card companies, which means they are violating their agreement with them; OR the person behind the counter is trying to steal cash or my PIN number (which is why I NEVER use my PIN number except at my bank).

Regardless of the why, this Exxon just lost my regular business. That carton of cigarettes costs $62+ and I buy at least one every other week and I'll occasionally buy a bottle or wine or some such. No more.

I still gave three stars because the Taco Casa is AWESOME!

BTW, I saved $4.00 by purchasing the carton of cigarettes from the QT on 635 and Forest Lane AND they didn't give me a hard time about using Samsung Pay.

I went to get a bottle of water. Price tag had it for $1.89. When I went to go check out, she was trying to charge me $1.99 for it. I told her the sign said $1.89. Well then, the sign is wrong. The price is $1.99. Petty? Maybe. But it's the principle. How many other people go in there to buy their drinks and get swiped for more money than they were expecting. After a while that extra $0.10 adds up. She didn't offer to give me the water for the price advertised or to take down the price tag.

Exxon/Mobil is the best gas station ever. I prefer their prices and car washes over any other station.

PRICE GOUGERS? They jacked up prices way above everyone else - even the other Exxon stores, in the days after Houston's flooding and ahead of Labor Day weekend. Last night they were charging $2.799/gal for unleaded when I had no problem finding big-name (Shell, 7-Eleven, etc) stores [where I did not even have to wait in line, btw] still charging $2.399/gal. At this moment, searching for the 20 closest Exxons in this area shows prices from $2.80/gal for this store and $2.40/gal to $2.55/gal for the other 19.

I have only ever come here for the new Taco Casa that is attached. Convenient location near the High Five.

Used the restroom and pump gas at this gas station. The restroom was very clean and the cashier attended everyone in a timely manner.
