Taking you from check-in to check out, I want to start out by giving you a brief version of 5 star thumbs up from our family stay of 1 night.
The only negative was parking directly in front of the hotel. The access to the end area of the very nearby shopping center that was well lite wasn't a hassle for us. Check-in was a breeze, and the gentleman was very polite. We are Marriott club members putting us on the 4th floor, saving my recommendations from prior visits at other Marriott hotels. The hotel and rooms look brand new, very clean and well stocked with basic necessities. The beds are very comfortable, the air conditioner and heater I tested both and work perfectly. The water pressure was great. TV was great, also allowing you to sign into your own Netflix account. I never heard a word from any neighbors all night or from any outside noise. Our room number was 425 for reference facing the front parking and entrance area. The breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal with various toppings, waffles, cereal, yogurt, milk, juice, banana, apples, juices, coffee, muffin, and various breads from 6 am to 10 am. We did not use the exercise facilities, but it looked great! The elevator was in perfect working order. Check out was a breeze!
We had the queen double bed, regular room and very pleased with our one night stay. We would definitely recommend and will be coming back to this hotel when we need to come back to this area again.

Disgusting. Cockroach infested. A cockroach jumped on my baby and the second room had a used contraceptive. Do not take your family to stay here

Staff was friendly but cockroaches in rooms on first floor. Changed rooms twice due to cockroaches. Only refunded one night of the two times in a row that I had to move.

Great place, clean, free breakfast. It's in the middle of a shopping plaza so you have plenty of places to eat or grab a drink.

Free wifi, free breakfast, free parking. Clean rooms, nice showers
Great deal for the price. Worth little drive from TCU campus

This was the worst room for the price.the room had the bare Minimum. We travel a lot and the service was horrible. We asked for an extra pillow and was told they didn't have any and their internet service was down. We were told it would be up until the next week.

First, I hope that Marriott’s executives pay attention to, read thoroughly, understanding from the customers point-of-view, and incorporate/implement new policies and procedures for their “business & staff! ” Then I truly hope they respond to their customers’ reviews. Why have reviews if you or your company do not value your customers input? It’s like having a suggestion box, your employees take the time to write suggestions for change, and then corporate throwing the suggestions away.

Second, NEVER will I, or let ANY of my family, book or stay in another room at Fairfield Inn, at THIS location and or ALL locations nationwide.

Please know that my partner has a platinum, or above, membership with Marriott, and so we usually travel with great accommodations. And so it troubles me to write a post/review like this…

This is the 4th Fairfield Hotel I have stayed at, and this is the 2nd stay at “THIS” location. (And at least it’s MUCH better than Las Colinas Fairfield - DO NOT STAY THERE!) (On other occasions it’s all been Aloft, which is good but still not great.) The first room was small for calling it a “suite. ” And this 2nd time they apparently “upgraded” us to a bigger room, and the only difference is maaaaayyyyyybe 1 foot of extra width space of the room. The rooms are “meh! ” at best: bed, nightstands, desk, desk chair, coffee table, tv, DISGUSTING couch & pillows (which I cover with the extra sheets that are supposed to be used for the sofa sleeper - EVERY TIME). Everything that you’d expect, except it’s gross and disgusting. Travel pro tip: Alcohol wipes, we wipe down ALL the surfaces in the room (except the furniture) before using.

Let me say, my concern is NOT about the rooms and the disgusting, bacteria-infested, “sex stained” couch and floors, and I could go on, but it’s about the staff and other guests. When you call down to the front desk ‘cause at 8 o clock there’s a family of elephants in the room
DIRECTLY above ours you’d expect some change. It’s one room, at maybe 450sq ft, yet the family is walking like they’re at the mall. We don’t mind kids, I have 2 college-graduating children of my own. But my daughters know how to be respectful of others, and that even goes for them walking in hotels. Not running in the rooms or in the halls. The parents are walking like they haven’t walked in years, but why start now? And their child or children are running like on the race track. Why wake EVERYONE else up? ! And when you call down to the front desk and nothing happens, the walking started at 8am and it’s 10 o clock now - and the elephants are still walking like elephants in the Safari, what should you do? As for me and my peoples, Fairfield has seen the last of us!

Staff is minimalistic at best. They don’t say hi or bye when leaving the hotel (or maybe it’s just the ones we’ve encountered). The oral communication skills, along with follow through, that these staff members have are limited. Your customers should leave knowing they had a great experience. NOT AT FAIRFIELD. Like I said, 4th hotel and still batting a ZERO! Way to go Fairfield, you won’t be getting any of our return business. I’ll gladly go to another hotel chain to start our reward points and status all over again, or possibly have our status and points roll to the next hotel chain.

I know, first world problems right? ! However, my only requirement for this post is so no one has to go through any horrible experiences that I or my partner have.

We booked a handicap assessable room days in advance. There was follow up and communication made on our end to make sure we had the room that would accommodate my husbands needs. Just to be told the day of that they had given our room away. The GM is the one who had let us know while “confirming” over the phone about our room. With a very “I don’t care” attitude. To say I’m upset is an understatement. It is already stressful having to travel with someone who needs extra care and to be told the day of that your room was given away is not professional not accommodating at all.

This was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have been in and this is the cheapest room I have had. Receptionist was so sweet and friendly. Have already recommended to another person!

I have a mixed review about this hotel - mostly positive, but with a few negatives. Both the inside and outside were quite nice. Everything was clean and modern looking. The dining area was also kept very clean, and my group had breakfast there every morning at 06: 00. The variety of breakfast items was good for practically everyone's tastes. I personally loved the waffles the most. They had one waffle maker that was the traditional quarter-cut circle, but the other one made waffles in the shape of the state of Texas.

Internet speeds were great. I didn't notice any slowdowns at all when watching YouTube or Facebook videos.

In terms of the room, all amenities were there, including an iron and ironing board. Plenty of towels were provided in the bathroom. Now, since it was extremely hot last week, we took many showers and went through many towels. At one point, we asked for more towels by calling the front desk, but when they never came, we physically went downstairs to ask in person, and they gave them right away. I also had to ask for toothpaste because I ran out, and it's great that they have complimentary packets of Colgate at the front desk. I also have to say the front desk workers are super polite and friendly, saying hi to us every time we walked by.

The negative points are:
• Water pressure is extremely weak! When brushing my teeth, it took forever to fill a small cup. The shower also had low pressure, but it was passable.
• My goodness, I had the worst time figuring out how to use the shower. At first, it took me a while to figure out that I had to pull up on the lower faucet. Great, water came out the hand sprayer, but I wanted to turn on the overhead shower. No matter what I did, I could not get it to turn on. It turns out that there's an upper tap that has to be somewhere in the 4: 00 position, and you had to leave it there for a few seconds before the water would divert to the overhead shower. The hotel needs to seriously provide instructions!
• Speaking of the shower, be careful with the hot water; it's scolding hot. Keep the lower tap pointed more towards the right for cooler water. I really don't think there was any cold water at all; the coldest it got was luke-warm temperature.
• The air conditioning wasn't quite strong enough for the size of the room. When set to 68°F, it still didn't cool very much.
• The pillows were too soft for my taste. (Sorry, I'm sounding like Goldilocks here. Lol) For this reason, they flattened too easily, so it didn't give enough support for my head. Double-pillowing was a tad too thick. Oh well, I was still able to fall asleep nevertheless.
• There's a nice shopping area with a Target that appeared to be close by, but since there is no pedestrian bridge over the pond, it took quite a while to walk all the way around in the blistering heat. It would have been worth it to pay an Uber just to go 0.2 miles.

Lastly, for those of you who are Costco lovers (like I am), it's practically right next door to one, which was awesome. I ended up going there 3 times. This was also the first Costco that I've ever been to that has a separate entrance to a liquor store. Its hours were also different from the main store; it closes at 20: 00 on weekends, unlike the 18: 00 closing time of the warehouse.

Tucked away so it’s in a quiet area. But no outlets near bed. Couldn’t charge phone for an alarm unless it was across the room. The lights on the bed did not work and there was no body wash in the shower pump bottle. Also got charged $20 upon arriving for idk what. Hotels milk the absolute hell out of you and can’t even leave a bottle of water for the coffee maker.

Do NOT stay here. Checked in for a 3 night stay tonight and immediately noticed the hotel smelled musty. Got to my room and the smell was much worse. I thought maybe it just needed some airflow, but no, there seems to be an ongoing mold problem. Neither the GM or Marriott corporate were interested in doing anything to resolve the situation, and were in fact pretty rude about it.

This is a fairly new design Fairfield Inn and the room was very nice. The free breakfast was the traditional one at Fairfield Inns and it was well stocked with food. It's right in the middle of a shopping center built around a small lake, so it was a little difficult to find but worth the search.
