Falcon State Park reviews
13Great beach quiet, javelinas, road runners, coyotes beautiful spot! Covered picnic tables. Beautiful weather
Restrooms are nice and clean and the hot water was great. Down side is this park is very much for snow birds. There is no playground and can be boring for children. The wild life is not threatened by dogs but there is no dog park.
Needs a store. We like to collect stickers/magnets from each state park but none were available. Nice trails.
Lots of spaces. Paved roads, Clean Washrooms, Boat ramp was closed and grown over with shrubs. Water level in Falcon Reservoir very low. Several interesting Wildlife Reserves nearby.
What ever you do don't call the park police for help he will not help you I got stuck and asked for help and he said no cause I shouldn't of been in that area then he gave me a ticket.
Love it, it is super hot if you are really camping, otherwise if you have camper you are a lucky one, you either need to be outside all day in the water or you will get dehydrate, wear sunblock constantly! This place is better to visit in spring or fall
Beautifully preserved slice of nature, friendly staff from Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Just be careful not to get stuck if you go into the little path that takes you right by the water!
5 miles from a Dollar General and 17 miles to gasoline (Roma, TX) for supplies. Park in excellent condition. Minimal cell coverage for TMobile. Sewer for Full Hookup sites is inconveniently located,
Our first time here was just a chance to look around. We'll be planning on going back in the near future to stay a few days. Nice camping set up. Restroom and shower facilities were clean and spacious.
We always like falcon. This late season visit brought less birds and more knats so a bit of a downer but weather always good here.
For a small St Prk, there's lots of beach, and considerable amount of 30/50amp RV hookups, with an assortment of day use shelters! Staff was friendly & very helped with reservations! Bring leveling block!
Its on the desert so the dog is full of sticker burrs. But they do have full hook up rv sites and drive around Falcon lake is nice. Need 4WD probably. The butterfly garden really is full of butterflies. And birds!
The pictures attached illustrate what a devastating drought the west texas/ Rio Grande Valley have been held in. Zoom in to the photo and you will see deep in the distance Falcon Dam. November- April offer the best months to stay. Perfect for star gazing and incredibly remote. Cabins with AC available or full hook ups to primitive camping. During COVID and the Drought the silence is deafening beautiful as it is unsettling. I truly understand the sacred nature of Native American rain offerings.once a massive lake now 22% to capacity. Look at the 2nd picture to see the water level history.
