Family Emergency Room at Cedar Park

I called to see if they accepted Medicare insurance and the disgusted and apparently put out young man that had to without a doubt lower himself to answer my question responded like a 2 year old. Is it too much to ask for simple courtesy and or respect towards a fellow human being in this day and age?
Zero manners.
No is the answer for the Medicare insurance for payment question. They do not accept Medicare and you are a pain in the a$$ if you ask or that's the feeling conveyed to me over the phone. Sorry to bother you.

This place is amazing. The staff is wonderful and really caring! Most of the staff are medical veterans, and it really shows in their craft! You’ll be in GREAT hands!

Amazing! Staff and doctor are all angels! The hospital was very attentive and ran several tests to determine the cause of my illness instead of just band- aiding the symptoms! Highly recommend!

I visited the Emergency room on April 11 2023. Dr. Ashraf took good care of me. The female nursing staff were nice and gentle except for one male nurse (I don't remember his name else I would have written here but please check my records to identify the person whom I am referring here). I found this male nurse very rough in handling medical equipments on me. Equipments like needles and other data recording equipments attached on the chest etc.are painful to the patient who is already suffering and needs to be handled gently and with care not to cause additional pain but this person was very very rough as I said. Please sensitize this male nurse that he needs to treat every patient gently and with care. Thanks.

I have been to this ER twice now and they have been amazing both times. Fast, took me seriously. Saved my ability to walk the first time and maybe my life last night. They're kind, explain everything, gentle, and above all exude competence.

The staff was amazing. They got me right back, listened to my concerns and provided great care. I would definitely recommend.

TLDR; version: Excellent customer service, good doctor and care staff.

Dr Greenwood was spot on with the diagnosis, provided thoughtful advice and gave enough options available for care. The support staff was friendly, also made sure we understood this is an emergency and not urgent care so we are not surprised later. The cost was reasonable and the facility was good. I would use this place again if there is a need.

Quick, we’ll run facility, doctor and nurse were very knowledgeable and caring to my health and helping with follow on care after the visit.

They curriered in medications they didn’t have that I needed, and were very caring and nice. Would recommend

Emergency room that does not accept Medicare? Shame on this place for calling itself an emergency room.
I brought my mom here who was having heart issues after her chemotherapy. This is a critical concern. The front desk lady asked what kind of insurance and then they don’t accept insurance. She told me I’d have to pay out of pocket. So don’t call yourself an emergency room! Or put up a BIG sign that says “WE DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICARE. ”

My experience was wonderful, everyone was friendly, caring and professional. It was a in and out situation no long waiting. Thanks for helping me with my issue.

Everything was quick and easy, was able to check in and be seen almost immediately upon arrival and the staff were all courteous and professional and prompt. Not quite die what more a person could expect or desire from a quick clinic. Thank you to all who helped!

You had better be in a VERY SERIOUS MEDICAL EMERGENCY before you consider using this facility. You had also either have more money than God or be prepared to battle with them over insurance claims.

I went in with a bad cough only because I was visiting my daughter in Round Rock and my normal doctor was over an hour away. For the incredible hassle and potential expense this is turning out to be the drive would have been one of the best investments I've ever made.

I was in the clinic for about 45 minutes. They took an X ray of my lung, the doctor diagnosed me with the flu and sent a couple of prescriptions to HEB. At check out I was informed by the man at the front desk that if I paid in full that day it would be $400. Reasonable I thought.so I paid. They had already taken a copy of my insurance card at check in but I thought I was done and paid in full.

WRONG. Dr. Nathaniel Green later billed my insurance company over $4000! After spending hours trying to find the correct person to speak with I was finally emailed informing me that I had used "Prompt Pay" at check out so I would not owe anything further.

WRONG AGAIN.as of today they have not only resubmitted the original bill for Dr. Nathaniel Green but now Common Sense Care, LLC which is some kind of subsidiary of Family Hospital Systems which owns Family Emergency Room at Cedar Park (confused yet?) has billed my insurance company another $9500! So in total my insurance company has received about $14,000 in claims for a 45 minute visit for what turned out to be the flu.

To make matters worse (and more questionable) they submitted one claim under medical code 99284 which is the billing code for an emergency visit of "HIGH OR URGENT" severity. Really?

I now have a pretty good idea how they paid for those Hummer emergency vehicles parked outside the clinic. I'm not saying this place has unethical billing practices or anything. I'll leave that conclusion to the reader.

They were very nice. They listened to what had to say. They figured out my issue and made me feel comfortable.

I am so thankful that I came into the Family Emergency Room. I was visiting from out of town and had a health scare. Thankfully, everything was fine. I was treated with exceptional care.

Service and visit were good up till check out. The checking in woman, forgot her name to I'm so sorry, was very friendly and amazing. The nurses Kyla, Stephen, and Shauna were amazing. Docter hill I wanna say his name was, I'm sorry if it's wrong, was amazing and very thorough. The woman I wanna say viola was rude and treated me with zero respect when I told her I didn't have my card on me. I said thanks and she just huffed. Super clean and beautiful place

The staff during the day is ok, night staff… not so much. Front desk lady was nice, but there’s a man at the back that has a horrible attitude. NOT a fan. The doctor I had was named Jackie Hinds I believe. I didn’t get home from the ER until almost 3am so I wanted a doctors note excusing me from work in a few hours. She refused to do so. Ugh if I could give her 0 stars I would. Do better. I wouldn’t recommend this place. They’re fast but that’s about it. 0 STARS

Excellent staff! Very knowledgeable and efficient. I had a very short wait to be seen, the Doctor evaluated my injury (infection a finger) and began treatment almost mediately. All Follow Up Referral and treatment was clearly explained and documented, and overall a very positive experience.
