6Cool place to see the planes. There are probably better places for photos and viewing.
Bring your own chairs. The picnic bench near the runway is not shaded. Not sure if the intent is for watching from the parked car, or if the design is intentionally minimally comfortable to discourage lengthy stays. Saw more variety of planes than expected. Fun for airplane enthusiasts of all ages.
Saw quite a bit of litter, such as discarded beverage containers.
Nice place to park and watch the planes come and go across the Austin sky.
This place was awesome, I love how we can watch airlines up close. I recommend this place if you want to see airplane land/ takeoff! Best viewing area ever!
Very cool area to watch planes take off and land. It’s usually the charter plans with occasional commercial carrier, nevertheless, exciting! There’s another runway where the bigger ones land on the other side. Good parking space with few picnic tables. Can easily make a afternoon of it. It’s not loud. Kids and interested adults can enjoy the endless landing and take off and the specific engine sounds!
