Fat Cat Flats, Houston TX

I have left my cat at least 3-4 times: the staff is AMAZING! I dont know how do you guys do it (because he usually eats little), but my cat always gets fatter and fluffier when I pick him up: D. He always complains to me that he didn't want to leave the place on the way home, so if you want your cat to be safe, well-fed, entertained, and just well-cared for, this is the spot!

This place has been a life saver! I was recommended here by a vet and I've never looked back! Happy with this place from the start and Nicole is a blessing, very professional and genuinely cares for the cats thanks to John up front who is always courteous, polite, and helpful! All of you are GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Please don’t go here. I dropped my kitty (who’s been groomed many times before) off at 11: 30 and and they don’t even get to grooming them until 3 or 4, so he was stuck in a kennel for hours with no water. When I picked him up he was hissing and growling at the groomer brushing him, I’ve never heard him hiss not even at another cat. So that was immediately off putting. He panted the whole drive home, also something I’ve never seen him do, he loves car rides and he was so anxious driving home. He was shedding like crazy (a side effect of stress) and has been sick the last few days. I had his sanitary area shaved to avoid litter box disasters, and it did nothing. He got sick after bringing him home and now has literal diarrhea stuck to his fur on his back end. Grooming him was immediately pointless. They didn’t treat my kitty well which breaks my heart and he wasn’t even well groomed, and we have the added worries of him now being sick. I’ve read a few reviews of people bringing home sick cats from this place, so a vet visit is imminent. It’s a bad place all around. The guy I left him with didn’t ask for proof of vaccinations (although I did have them) and he said to be back around 3: 30 for pick up. When I arrived they never called so I called them at 4 and 4: 15 with no answer. They close at 5 so I became concerned, they finally called at about 4: 30 saying 15 minutes. There are many better places I’m sure. This place is not worth it, and I don’t know how they’re still running making cats sick and poorly handling our poor fur babies. Steer clear for your kittens sake

Very welcoming cat only facility. My cat has not had much to say about the place, but he survived and put on a little weight. Was there when I needed something on short notice.

Our cat’s first time getting groomed and we were nervous about how she would handle it, but the staff was very professional and it went smoothly! We got to watch through the door and they asked us along the way our preferences. We would bring our cat back here for grooming again.

We recently have added a new member to our family, an adorable kitten named Abby. Since we didn't want to remove her front claws, we needed to have soft claws nail caps applied. She went in and had a nice bath and came out wearing the very cute purple claws. They treated her very well. We will definitely be going back.

I love this place! I knew my kitty was in good hands when the groomer was talking to her. I also bought these cat wands and they were very durable.

Poor service, poor management, and they didn’t handle my kitty with care. She peed on herself twice and she has never done that. She also shed more when she got home then when i initially took her for a bath and deshed treatment, also overpriced. Read the yelp reviews before you take them here.

My two kittens stayed at Fat Cat Flats for 3 nights and had the whole spa treatment! So soft and fluffy when we picked them up with our requested soft claws on their front paws. They were very relaxed when we picked them up. Thanks, Fat Cat Flats!

Very poor and expensive operation. They couldn't trim the hair of my very nice cat while it took me a long way to drive to their location. The service was also poor and passive and could not try to work with my cat. Not sure how professional they are of they don't differentiate themselves of taking time to appear a cat and provide a a simple service.

Great Place! Nichol (the groomer) has a magical affinity with cats. There's a reason they are so in demand!

I took my two cats to get a tummy shave and a fanny clip, which is included when you purchase the tummy shave. Prior to the grooming, on the phone and in person, we also discussed getting these two services done. When we took the cats home, we noticed that they only did the tummy shave and NOT the fanny clip, which was weird because it’s an automatic service when you buy a tummy shave. I don’t really understand why they didn’t do the fanny clip, when we discussed it at least three times, and it’s a standard service on their part. They didn’t apologize, offer a refund or explain why they didn’t prove the service. They said we could bring the cats back that same day, but they were very stressed. They were unable to accommodate other days because of schedule issues on our part.

When you come here, maybe sure you TRIPLE check to make sure the grooming has been done.
