FEM Centre, Colleyville TX

Dr. Unell and his nurse are probably the BEST wellness care team, I have ever had in my life! However, you have to have thick skin to deal with the front desk and billing staff. They are usually passive and mildly rude when I'm advising them of my insurance benefits and their errors.
This time, I was simply advising the check in attendant that I did not have a new insurance card. UHC no longer sends them out. (Benefits can be verified via the portal) I was also advising that the copay is different than the year before and I was due a refund. Because regardless of what I know my copay is, I just pay what they say because they are so adamant about it. Shonda rudely interrupted my conversation in a combative manner, completely in the wrong. She snatched my file from the lady and stated " I'll handle this" I asked if she needed to cancel my appointment due to her behavior. She said I could cancel. A company trying to make money does definitely not need that from their employees and Dr Unell just lost a patient because of her lack of professionalism in the work place. He's absolutely THE BEST DR. If you can stomach the front desk. This was just the straw that broke the camels back for me!

I so badly want to make an appointment at the FEM Centre with a doctor that I have seen in the past, but I have called 7-8 times, and each time, I've gotten put on hold and then hung up on. I've not actually been able to speak with anyone yet. I had amazing service with the doctor when I went there, but it seems like it's going to take me calling back consistently and just getting lucky in order to actually be able to talk to a human to schedule me with an appointment.

I went here for years with Dan. He was the best. Fem centre charged me some $50 cancelation fee for an appointment that i canceled 2 years ago. Seems that they added up to $120 additional fees on top of the bogus fee then turned me into collections and refused to treat my cancer due to an outstanding balance that I didn't know about. I don't see that in the hippocratic oath. Wow. Just wow. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years. This is almost a reportable issue. Shame on all of you!
