Fire Wok reviews
29Very good customer service. If they have ever done something wrong they make it right. Also my favorite place to get americanized Chinese food. Daily lunch specials before 4 pm are very appropriately priced
Place looked relatively clean and prices are great, but food is not so great. I ordered the Lemon Chicken lunch special. Chicken tasted rubbery, eggroll was overcooked, and the fortune cookie was stale. Made just a bad first experience, but I won't be going back.
Tried this place for the first time. Ordered the General Tso. The chicken was dry and the sauce had very little flavor, no spiciness at all. The fried rice was good, I enjoyed it more than the entrée. The restaurant felt more like a panda express than a typical Chinese restaurant.
Food has gone down. The attitude of the weekend staff was horrible! Use to love eating here but not anymore.
Food is tasty and portions are large! Countertops are not the cleanest, smudgy from previous customers. In addition the restrooms seemed unkept. All in all, wonderful food but environment can be better. Highly recommend sitting outdoors!
I've been to this restaurant multiple times, and I was not impressed with this restaurant on any of those occasions. The first visit to this restaurant, the food was so mediocre that I would've rather went to some other place with similar food in the area. In addition, all of the spoons and forks that were set out for the restaurant were dirty, and the plates were too (if they had plates; I honestly cannot remember.) The tables were also dirty, which was rather inexcusable considering they had at least three or four workers there at the time, and there were only 1 to 2 groups of people dining.
On the second occasion, the manager there was rather rude. They failed to explain that one of the items that I was ordering had an up charge, and the other charge was a few dollars extra and was not find out about this till I received my bill and pay for my food. And once again, the silverware that was set out for the diners to use was dirty, as well as the plates, as well as multiple tables were dirty and there was no place to sit because of the tables being dirty. Quite frankly, only reason I came here second time was because my family was craving Asian, and we were short on time and we were nearby.
Long story short, this place is disgusting, the management is rude, and the food is not good enough to warrant going there for any reason. Avoid this place.
What a sad day today. I have been a recurring customer for many many years. So much so that they pretty much know my order before I even open my mouth. But today the new manager decided he wouldn’t serve me because I don’t have a mask on. No don’t get me wrong, I realize of any business has the right to require one.but the fact that I’ve been eating there for the past few months with no requirement.and now he says “I am the new manager.and I require it. ” Basically a ushered right out the door. So after nearly 15 years of eating at the fire wok. As long as this “new manager” is there. I won’t be back. What happens to a business when they hire a bad employee.
I try and visit this place whenever I'm in San Antonio. I love the Hawaiian style rice with Shrimp, pineapple and coconut.
Love the food here! And a huge bonus right now, you can still order and pick up or they even offer delivery!
Baby cockroaches are under the tables. Silverware in boxes near the drinks and such are dirty.one of the workers lost count of the dumplings we had.made me lose my appetite.don’t come here.food also has basic flavor.also the place is dirty.
Delicious! Our favorite is the island fried rice with chicken. (Congress with peanuts and coconut, so be careful if you've got allergies) we get it without peanuts and raisins, but with pineapple and coconut. So yum! Huge portions! Can feed my whole family (6) for <20!
Place tasted like card board food. Not authentic if that’s what you’re looking for. PANDA EXPRESS is better than this!
The quantity of food you get for the price is great! I felt full for paying a decent price. The quality of the food just wasn't there though. Everything just tasted a little below average for restaurants like this.
I come here all the time!
My friends and I have made it our "hang out" joint when we need to unwind.
Everyone that works there is amazing, the food is amazing!
I get beef podthai with no vegetables and EXTRA spicy they give it to me perfect EVERY TIME!
Love this place.
This is a good place, but lately they have been getting orders wrong. I clearly stated I wanted shrimp in the rice and on two occasions I have found no shrimp and a lot of unwanted chicken. I’m running out of patience with this as it is a long trip to get their usually correctly prepared delicious food.
The staff and Denny are Champs.
The flavor of the ingredients is fresh.
Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable booths.
The variety of sauces and veggies is numerous.
Have a great Lunch at fire Wok!
I'm sorry but you cannot advertise your General Taos chicken as spicy when it is completely mild.
My favorite location by far. There is always plenty of parking, its clean and well kept, and the service is always good. I love the fresh veggies and the the teriyaki chicken is my favorite, it's so flavorful. There lunch specials during the week are from 11-4 and are always a great deal.
Only thing that is fantastic is the Stir Fry
You get to pick all the ingredients that you can get into a bowl
, the filler (white rice, noodles or stir fried rice)
Not consistent but when the right cook is back there.oh it's real good.
Pad Thai- you can request no onions
Build your own dish is available too
