Firestone Complete Auto Care, San Antonio TX

STAY CLEAR! I normally don’t post reviews but I hope to save someone else their time and money. We hired this location to do a tire swap and a/c fix and for starters the staff was plainly unprofessional. Treating me as the customer as if I was wasting their time and yawning on the phone aggressively loud. They claimed to have completed the tire job and never did. I even spoke to the manager and he said it would be taken care of. I brought it back and the manager was not there and the employee stated it was not on their screen as if I have access to it and as justification to why it wasn’t done. Then the employee said they could do it but I would be charged even though I had to take time out of my day to come back for them to do something that was claimed to be done already. I will NEVER be coming to this location again.

Staff was really friendly and professional. Knew exactly how to handle my company's fleet authorization process. I was in and out for a tire repair in less than 2 hours.

Very overpriced for a synthetic oil change. No explanation of other checks completed. Only good for the lifetime alignments and balances.

Made an online appt.at 1pm on a Fri.for a wheel alignment on Sat.at 9am
Received an automated email saying they received the appt.request and that "if your requested appt.date becomes unavailable, we will contact you directly to discuss. "
Well I was never contacted, so I show up at 8: 50am on Sat.and the guy says, "yeah I see your request but we never confirmed it"
He said they could get it done but that it would be much later in the day before it would be done.
The whole reason for the appt.was so that I wouldnt have to wait around for hours and hours. I should have been contacted and told they couldnt do 9am.
I think their automated system needs revamping so that it only accepts appt.if the location actually has an opening.
I decided to leave and take my business elswhere

I scheduled an appointment on Friday morning to get my oil changed Saturday. I arrived and they said it would be two hours even with my appointment. I stayed in their waiting room and checked in periodically but it took them 3 and a half hours to take my car into the garage. Changing the oil took about 15 minutes. In total I was there about 4 hours for an oil change. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

No one there had a mask on. Chairs looked like they’ve never seen a wipe down in their lifetime. Bathroom was absolutely trashed! Very let down about the work that they said they did. Came in for a simple alignment and left with it being more off alignment. This place use to be good. People are friendly but it needs to go further then that. Quality work and cleanliness goes a long way.

Had an appointment for an oil change but I still waited an hour and a half before I got my car back. Seemed more interested in selling me new tires than the service I requested.

Terrible, I called ahead for an alignment. Showed up when I said I would I was told that I would have to leave my car for the night. Now I have to drive back home on a none aligned car

They will lie about what’s wrong with your car to later take it back and tell you it’s what you originally too it for and end up paying a lot more money, the made pay over $1000 when I took my car get the tires checked, they told me my tires were good for another six month but my car required all these other services. I agreed since they told that would fix the issue I was having. Well picked up my car and still same issue, then they told me my tires were not good at all and end up paying them another $600

I had a appointment at 4: 00. And my car is still in the parking lots. Trouble service only because my daughter car needed it. I will never be back here.the 2 manager are seating on the desk Instead of helping them out.trouble service.

I'm a professional mechanic of 19 years and I've enjoyed the lifetime alignment package on all 6 of my cars until I started to use this location. On my last 4 alignments visits I did on 2 of my vehicles after refreshing the suspensions, they were both tracking to the left and not centered, What this means is increased tire wear and fuel usage. They're purposely not aligning your vehicles within the proper specs so you'll return to purchase tires and other services that's caused by their business practices. Sound off if you've experienced the same problem so others will not use this franchise. The best ones I've come across in town is the locations on Bandera Road and West Ave.

Do not come to this location. They will damage your vehicle and deny it. I don't blame the manager for the damage but I do blame him for not accepting responsibility for his employees. Also the one employee that caused the damaged tried to hide it and refused to acknowledge what he had done. I've been coming to this location along with other members of my family for years. Dishonesty is something I will not accept and refuse to deal with. Therefore this location will no longer receive any of my money.

Had my radiator replaced at Firestone ($$$).
The next day my transmission started slipping.
Took my car to a transmission shop and discovered that the fluid was a quart and a half low causing my transmission to malfunction. Luckily, the transmission shop was honest and didn’t tell me I needed a new or rebuilt transmission! Also, luckily, my transmission wasn’t damaged in the process.

The cause of my transmission malfunctioning was due to the service done on the radiator. The transmission fluid leaked out from a hose that is hooked to the radiator so that once the hose was unhooked, the fluid drained out. I would expect a pro/expert mechanic performing a simple task like replacing a radiator (something they probably perform quite a lot) would know that the fluids need to be replaced! Luckily, Firestone did put coolant in my radiator!

Where’s your pride in performance? I paid a lot of money and could have ended up paying a lot more all because of your careless mistake. I wanted to tell you this in person, but I was told you guys do this all the time and apparently don’t care. So, hence this review instead!

Needless to say, I won’t be back!

Great staff here. They take the time to explain if you have any questions. They do not rush you through the process.

After they give you their diagnosis, they do not pressure you into any decisions.

Have gone here for:
tire replacement
brake replacement
a/c compressor replacement
wheel alignment
tire rotation

Staff here is always polite and courteous, and they work hard to ensure that customers needs are met. They are honest and stand by their work as well. I've never had issues with this Firestone, and I would easily recommend them to anyone looking for their car repair needs.

I was just passing thru, and had engine problems. Called and they said they could get me in. Within 20 min.my van was in the shop. Brendan was very helpfully, explained everthing. The tech that was working on it found other issues. Brendan came back to me and explained it. He was able to locate all the parts I needed. They had to get the parts from several places all over town.
On a side note, I'm diabetic and asked if there was some place close I could get food. He said anytime if I needed a ride to get it he would get a ride for me, he also, as busy as he was, checked on me every so often. ABOVE AND BEYOND. I was treated better here by everyone than I was at any dealer or shop around the country.
I'm self employed and use my vehicle for work but if I were to hire someone I would be very grateful if I could hire someone like Brendan.

I’ve been searching for a reliable mechanic/shop ever since we moved to San Antonio. I needed someone I could trust and not feel like they “nickle and dime” me every time I’d show up.
My 2006 Dodge Ram had developed a slight vibration when I reached 50mph. I decided to give Firestone on Calebra and 1604 a try. I had heard good things about the company from family and friends.
I was able to get in right away and received a call from the store with the diagnostic results. The evaluation indicated the tie rods had to much play and that they would need to be replaced along with an alignment.
At the end of the day the truck was ready and I could hardly wait to feel that comfortable ride I was used to. Unfortunately, that comfort ride didn’t happen. The vibration remained unchanged.
The next morning I spoke with the Service Manager, Branden. He was very professional, attentive to my concerns and willing to make things right. After a quick drive with Branden, we returned to the shop. He informed me that he would work with his mechanic and get things taken care of.
Two hours later I was back at Firestone. They had discovered the issue, replaced the part and got me up and running. Once again I experienced that comfort ride I had longed for.
Branden and his team are outstanding. They have received a lifelong customer. Thanks guys!

It takes forever to get a tire that really spensi and low quality all the small shops will do way better on any of this things
