First Chinese BBQ - Richardson

Food was great, and after reading all the reviews here, seems like I had the same problem. They demand tips and were not satisfied with the tip we left, the woman tried to make me pay extra. Ruined the experience as the food was great. Shame.

I gave it a 5 for authenticity. The flavors and style are of authentic recipes. The service is always prompt. The servers are awesome very attentive. Highly recommend this place. If you haven’t had real authentic Chinese food you definitely need to give it a try.

They use MSG in their BBQ meats. I've had two good dishes (double cooked pork and crispy shrimp with ginger) and two bad dishes (lamb with sugar cane and beef with satay sauce). Had their BBQ pork with wonton and noodle soup today which is typically quite good, but the pork was very fatty with a lot of waste and borderline inedible. I should have returned it, but mentioned it to the cashier and waitress. They made no effort to make it good and suggested I specify "lean" next time. They shouldn't have served such a poor cut of meat to begin with. If you wouldn't eat it yourself, don't serve it to your customers. I won't be going back anytime soon. If you go there and the meal is deficient in any manner, send it back! Don't count on them to do the right thing, because they won't.

Food and price always very good. Staffing awful. Had to wait for one of our meals even though they were same. Took a while for rice had to ask three people. Did not check on us, but was waiting for tip at register that is cash only like a vulture. Service used to be great.

You know are in a authentic chinese restaurant when service is not is poor. Poor meaning the waitress/waiter and cashier looks grumpy and not friendl. Cash only.

The BBQ reminds me of great Chinese growing up on the west coast. The chow mein noodles were very tasty but half of it was onions and I had to pick around it. The duck was dry as a bone and the meat was sharp as a knife. It had zero flavor and tasted really old.

I could give -100 star if I could! The food is very mediocre and we found a HAIR in one of the dish! It's impossible to get the waiter not to mention checking in or adding more water. Their attitude is HORRIBLE! Worst dinning experience in 2022!

We had dinner today at this restaurant and the food was not that good. The place is dirty and dingy. The rude lady server had the audacity of automatically adding the tip to our bill without our permission. The service was awful and one of the servers dropped hot food on one of my family members arm. Pay attention to your bill to prevent them from adding what they want for tip.

Amazing! We ordered and paid with a credit card online. They prepared our take-out order fast. We noticed prominent "cash only" signs at the front of the restaurant. When we first opened up the container of steamed rice, the aroma was incredible, and it only got better from there. The sesame chicken was crispy, and the sauce was a much better consistency than other restaurants around here (thick, but not gelatinous). The vegetable fried rice was luscious, and the garlic broccoli was perfect. Would definitely recommend! We want to back and try the tempting-looking meat from the carving station.

My first visit to this restaurant with my husband and friend was a week ago. I'd heard good reviews of the restaurant and my friend loves it. I'm not a fan of duck but I decided to order. Service was quick. There were many patrons inside. But our order came out lukewarm. My friend and I shared the roasted duck and my husband ordered a meat trio. Both plates were not hot. The duck was delicious and I'd order it again. The meat trio was not as flavorful as I expected. Friendly service, clean inside. The restaurant is in a small shopping corner so parking is limited.
I'd give it a second try!

Not sure what's going on but came here for lunch today and it was not crowded. Maybe people stopped eating out as much? Since there were only two of us, we had the 3 meat combo with BBQ pork, roast pork, and roast duck. They were tasty but came out lukewarm. We also had the water spinach with garlic. That was super yummy. We couldn't eat it all so there was plenty of leftovers for another meal or two! It was around $37 so pretty pricey for lunch but they def give you tons of food! Oh and the service was fine today. The 2 people serving us were very nice and prompt.

Authentic Cantonese restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious and service was prompt and friendly. I have no idea why people are leaving negative reviews, we had a great experience.

Very rude, I didn't understand her English and she yelled at me. I don't want cut with one pound of large intestine, she gave me a pound and a half with cut slice. If you visit a restaurant in a good mood, they will make you very sad. Never come back again

The food here is amazing! Ever dish our group had was fantastic. The peking duck was the best I've had. Its is cash only unless you order online or through a service. The service was good. The portions are large. The red sauce in the soy bottle is red vinegar. We did Make that mistake. We will return. Big big note there is parking around back and at the next door plaza. The public parking is way farther.

Been taking the family here since 1980. Maybe the most authentic Hong Kong style Chinese around. The food is like going there without having to buy the plane ticket.

I’m giving five stars because the service is good and the staff are very friendly. The water is not good—definitely sink water. The food is alright to be honest lol, it’s somewhat bland, but I’m from Houston so not sure if I’m biased because of Houston’s Chinatown. The duck was probably the best out of the dishes I tried.

Took too long and when the food was ready, the waitress placed it on the wrong table. Not welcoming at all.
Just an awful experience.
