Dr. Wertz was the first professional to read me like a book and take everything from my daily life to learn how to treat me. She adapted my treatment plan and validated a lot of the fears I had for primary care physicians. She helped me along my path of getting healthier and managing weight and weight loss and gave me great reading material recommendations to help me change my mental status throughout. I’ll forever be grateful for the team here and how well they communicate. Thanks for everything Dr. Wertz!?

I want to relay my experiences with First Primary Care. I’m self-employed and have researched any and all reasonably priced insurance but primarily through the Affordable Care Act (right!). At my age and pre-existing condition, my premium was going to be over $1,200/month with a $7,000 deductible. On top of that, you can’t really select the Dr.of your choice. It had to be through a network.
I’ve been a member of First Primary Care for over three years and couldn’t be happier with the personalized service I receive any time I want. This model really does put your healthcare in your hands. And the rates are a fraction of what I was facing. You can also choose any specialist you want. My impression of Dr. Goyal and staff is that they are proactive not only about your health but also about your lifestyle.
My first experience with Sedera (who partners with First Primary Care and pays the medical bills) was with a skin cancer issue. The total for dermatologist visits (my choice of Dr.) and surgery was over $5,000 for the self-pay rate. My total out of pocket was $500 and I was reimbursed the balance within a few weeks.
My second experience is more telling. I dislocated my shoulder twice within a couple of days which required two ER visits. Saw an orthopedic surgeon and also got a second opinion (highly recommend). Ended up doing about six weeks of PT and a follow up visit to the orthopedic. The total cost if I had traditional insurance was over $21,000 (no surgery!). The self-pay rate was $7,500. I put it all on my credit card (miles as a bonus) and was reimbursed promptly. Again, my TOTAL out of pocket was $500.
This business model isn’t a gimmick and, in my opinion, it’s the only way to go.

10 outta 10! My Dr. Cassandra Wertz is AMAZING. She is relatable, knowledgeable, concerned, fast to respond, caring and even continuously checks up on you while your sick. She listens and patiently answers my 5,000 questions. God knew where to place her!

I’m so thankful for the care our family receives at First Primary Care. Peter provides excellent, thorough, and compassionate care every time we see him. Our questions and concerns are easily addressed electronically when we need it. Sick visits, well visits, stitches for my son-5 stars all around every time. Being a patient at First Primary Care simply feels like how healthcare should be.

I have been with First Primary Care for about 3 years. The Spruce app makes it so easy to communicate with my doctor without always having to make an appointment. But, if I need in person assistance it is simple to make and they are all very professional and easy to talk to. Great service!

It has been a privilege to have been a patient at First Primary Care for over 3 years. I first started using First Primary Care during a period where I did not have good insurance. The quality of their service, the care, and the affordability were unmatched. Even after I had great insurance again, I continued using them because of the relationships I had formed with the doctors and team there. Everyone from the assistant at the front desk to the doctors were wonderful. They took time to get to know me personally and cared about my well-being and health. If I had an issue, I would be seen that same day and labs would quickly be drawn. If I was traveling (even abroad!), I could reach my doctor via text and get prescriptions and recommendations sent to me. They always go above and beyond. For instance, when they write a prescription, they search for and send me home with coupons that have saved me hundreds of dollars. I have recommended them to everyone I know in Houston! Dr. Vo has been my doctor and I could not be more grateful to her. She is absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable, and is able to talk through many different conditions in a relatable and down to earth manner! Most importantly, she cares, and makes time whenever I have needed her. Over the years, she has helped me thrive and take care of my health and well-being. Thank you First Primary Care for being my sanctuary and safe haven for all these years. Unfortunately, I have moved out-of-state now, but I will forever be grateful for your service!

I can't even begin to stress enough that Dr. Cassandra Wertz and First Primary Care are unlike any other medical practice I have ever visited in my life. From the moment that we first connected on a 15 minute phone call to the first in person appointment, in which Dr. Wertz spent an hour with me, I thought, "If only all medical practices would be like this. " She is naturally caring, thoughtful, and truly on top of her game. She discussed ever concern I had, and answered each of them. I am able to text her through an App, and she responds very quickly. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Wertz and First Primary Care! You will not be sorry!

Excellent care and service, and affordable lab work. After my long time primary care physician retired, I had a hard time finding one that really seemed to be interested in my overall care, me as a person, and made the time to stay familiar with their patients. I feel like I get that with First Primary Care. Dr Vo is very thorough, quick to respond when I have questions or need care, and Is great about following up to check on her patients. I never feel like I’m being rushed through an appointment, or that the doctors there have so many patients they cannot remember who we are. I’ve been with First Primary Care for 3 years and plan to continue on for many more.

First Primary Care has been the most efficient and affordable health care provider I have dealt with. I previously had to wrangle dates and times out of my last provider, along with taking time off of work and school just to be seen. Dr. Goyal has streamlined getting medical care and shifted the focus towards the patients. I could not be happier with them!

I can't say enough good about First Primary Care. For a tiny monthly fee I have access to unlimited consultations with no co-pay, attentive and truly concerned doctors who are super quick to respond (always same day!) when I message them using the Spruce app. I can video chat with them when necessary and only have to go in to the office when they aren't able to diagnose or treat without a visit which is very rare. Dr Goyal is very patient and never rushed, sends me copies of xrays/tests etc.within the secure Spruce app, and explains results in detail. Referrals to specialists are no problem when needed. This is true primary care that puts me at ease knowing they're right at my fingertips.

We have loved the doctors at First Primary Care. I recently had my yearly with Dr. Vo and let her know how much I appreciated all the time she spent with me and any concerns that I had. I never feel rushed in my appointments, which is a nice feeling! They are also VERY responsive on the Spruce App when I have had a question/concern. THANK YOU!
