The administrative staff is receptive and efficient, and the caregivers that we've had have been great.

I was hit by high costs taking care of my father. One thing that is very upsetting is cutting back from 8 hours to 6 hours the rates go up such that it becomes more expensive than the 8 hours. FirstLight has been very good communicating to me far better than any other service. We have had a few last minute cancellations but thankfully I have a backup nephew that can fill in. Atria has created this situation because someone not cleared is not able to enter the building so if one of FirstLight's caregivers has something come up a substitute person cannot be used. Not sure if Firstlight can get others approved in advance for this happening but all I can say is this has happened a few times. The care is generally excellent and detailed.

The staff at FirstLight NW Houston are outstanding. They have been providing caregivers for my wife since the fall of 2018. Our needs fluctuate and they are always flexible and accommodating. Highly recommend them!

My family and I contracted care-giving services with FirstLight Home Care of Northwest Houston in late 2016 for in-home personal care and health support to our mother. Our mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2009 and as the disease progressed over the years additional professional healthcare was a must. My brothers and I discovered FirstLight Home Care Northwest Houston and the resources offered (bathing, dressing, preparing meals, feeding, light housekeeping, taking mom on small outings and other special needs) exceeded our expectations. FirstLight uniquely matched our mom, the client, with the perfect caregivers and one caregiver in particular was used for more than two years. The caregivers were passionate and compassionate about mom's personal hygiene as well as her emotional well-being. FirstLight's tender love and care for our mom and even for myself as mom's power of attorney, from office administration to in-home caregivers was a pleasurable experience.

Compassionate staff and helpful administration provided a much needed adjunct to our ability to care for my father towards the end of his life. Highly recommended.
