Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Houston TX

I want to like this restaurant as it has been in my neighborhood for many years and I want it to continue as a convenient dining option. Unfortunately, there is usually an element missing which keeps me from giving superior ratings.

Last visit, the Tomahawk steak special serving two was disappointing. The prime ribeye steak had gristle running through it and was not of the quality expected.

I am considerate of post- COVID service staffing challenges, but lapses in service details in a high ticket restaurant still leave me wanting better.

Management, in my opinion, should set a high standard to meet the competition by insisting on serving better cuts of meat and training service staff to give the highest quality of professional service.

I hope they will meet the challenge.

What can you say about an elegant dining experience? Much like Ruth's Chris, Steak 48, Perry's, and the like, Flemings is very serene, well to do, and eliteish. I'm not very big on the hype of an elegant experience more than I am big on the quality of the food that I pay for. Further, I don't get the concept of a la carte, paying separately for each dish. Can I afford Flemings? Yes I can. But I'd much rather slide into Saltgrass or Outback and order one meal, one price, for ultimately the same great taste. Nevertheless, kudos to Flemings as they do their job at outdoing themselves and looking the part as well as playing the part. Food is delicious, service is awesome, location is key.

*Update, after going back again for a private event, I’ll never return, service was abysmal and it took them 3 hours to get me three courses.

Service was good, crab cakes were ok, Mac and cheese was delicious! Loved the lobster over my Steak, steak was initially under and then a bit over after I sent it back but overall good meal.

Chicken was flavored well. Food was lukewarm. They boxed my food but I only went home with one of the two sides I bought. I guess they trashed the other one. My mistake for trusting them and not checking the bag before leaving. Definitely won’t return

Burger was really fantastic. I ordered online and they were very kind to put a thank you card inside along with the food

Flemings is great STK House but server Charles is the worse
server you can get. I ask to avoid getting him and I still got him recently. He's a fast talking, rush you thru, mr I know it all server. Why they keep him around shows management lack detail. When he ur server you feel like you are eating fast food.

Reliable steak restaurant with a pretty good wine list. Friendly service with a a good environment.

I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here.this place has a good design.this place has good reviews for a reason.

Good birthday dinner. 2nd time going.you must have money to eat here unless you are going to wash dishes.

Great selection of wine, decent filet mignon. Slightly overpriced for what you get. Server was great!

The steak was very good but they changed the bread that looks like and taste cheap and also they change the french fries. The french fries are worse than any fast food place.

I went around 9: 30 p.m. With a friend. We had a burger in the bar during their all night Happy Hour pricing. Good price, great food and super nice bartender and manager on duty. Highly recommended!

This location is ok. Great ambience. Nice bar. Table of 6. Lobster and steak was ordered. Lobster was bland and no one enjoyed their steak. Sides were superb.creamed spinach, lobster mac, asparagus and mushrooms. I'll try again as service was outstanding and staff wanted to make things right.

The details, ambiance, service was on point at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse. But the food was average meaning I would go again if they slashed their prices by two-thirds. But then again, some people prefer to pay extra for spectacular service and decor.

We enjoyed the ambiance and decor but the food was average. The chicken, steak was subtle on taste so nothing spectacular. Now the slivers of the fresh cheese were delicious.no cheesy smell and and the perfect balance of flavor.

Food was good. Lobster was slightly chewy, but ok. Wine was delicious and steak was cooked right.

Very clean, organized, staff is very personable. Went for our anniversary. Cost is worth it for the well cooked, well plated food. Steak was cooked perfectly, Desert was delicious. Impeccable service. Valet parking available. Would go here again for sure.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse can be a great place for a girls night or individual/group dinner. I suggest the blueberry lemon drop martini, any steak and the Mac and cheese. The food is so delicious. We dined in a private room. The restaurant gets busy, so make reservations in advance. You can sit at the bar and eat or dining area. The parking lot is small, so it’s best to park in valet, which is free for patrons. The staff is courteous. They provide a lot of attention during your dining experience.
