Floyds Seafood - Cypress

The gumbo had way to many shells. The red fish was dry and over cooked. We will not be dining here anymore.

Date of visit: Sept 14,2023. I went to the restaurant on the Northwest Freeway (Highway 290) in Cypress, Texas at approximately 2 pm and the section that I sat in was empty except for a gathering of employees sitting at the very far end of the section that I was in. I was in the other far end of that section. Other than that, there were zero customers in that section. The television was on a sports channel, but was turned down to completely silent. The waitress had brought my water, and I asked her if she could turn up the television volume slightly. She went to ask the manager on duty if she could turn up the volume, and came back and said that the manager won’t allow her to turn up the volume. I told the nice waitress that the manager needs to learn about the importance of customer service, when a customer makes such a small request, and that I would find somewhere else to eat. I now sit at Olive Garden looking at the delicious food, wondering if that manager will ever learn the meaning of customer service. My money today will go into the bank account of Olive Garden, rather than Floyd’s as was originally intended. Next time that the only customer sitting in a section requests that the television volume be turned up slightly, hopefully the manager and the company itself will remember the reason that they are even in business for: The Customer.

All the food was absolutely amazing! Best seafood our family has had in awhile. We had the back area for my nephews birthday which was perfect for a large group. The service was on point and our waitress Kiara (twin sis also works there) was just a divine sweetheart.

Great place, great food but the prices have gone up considerably. Then again so has everybody else.

Best food and service but the last 3 times I’ve been here it’s been hot. I will not eat there again if it’s hot. There employees were hot and so was the customers. The A/C did very little. After my heat stroke I get nauseous if hot. I would have enjoyed my food better if comfortably.

I deleted my glowing review of this place and, unfortunately, have to replace it with this one. The last 2 times we ate here, food quality and service have REALLY gone downhill. Both times, the server never did refills until one of us got up from the table to get them. Both times, our dirty and finished plates were left on the table even when they brought the check. This last time, the dining room was extremely hot due to broken air conditioning. Reading these reviews, we weren't the only ones with this problem. My shrimp etouffee had 6 small shrimp and a massive amount of sauce. At 27.99, I find that unacceptable, though there were 7 stale fried shrimp on the half and half plate. Everybody complained at how much salt was in the food, both main courses and side dishes. This was for a birthday celebration, and the entire family was very dissatisfied. We were never offered dessert, not that there would have been anywhere to put it on the table with all the dirty plates. We live out in Cypress, and it's unfortunate that we will have to drive further towards town to find a better place.

They need to fix the AC right now but this is our favorite place for oysters in the area.

Good food, drinks even better. Good service from the bartender, but there is wait time for your food.

My first time here. Blackened redfish overcooked. Cooked veggie side way undercooked. Crawfish sauce was incredible. Service was very nice. Atmosphere was like a chillis or somethin.nice enough. I would probably go back for a poboy or something. For a $30+ fish plate, this wasnt the place.

Jus stop on my way back to Austin from Houston. The BEST PLACE I could of chosen. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING food an drinks.

The wait staff was attentive. The food was hot, tasty, and served in a very reasonable time. It wasn't crowded. The restaurant was clean. We look forward to returning again soon.

We frequently visit Floyd's in Beaumont. LOVE IT! We were in Cypress area and have discovered all Floyd's are not created equal. I had to send back my Mahi because it was so salty you couldn't eat it, (ordered it grilled, not blackened). The server was very nice but clueless to being attentive. You would think a $120 lunch would get decent service and decent food but I guess not. We will still eat at Floyd's in Beaumont any chance we get but will not return to the Cypress location.

The hot sauce is super good! The bartender is also wonderful thank you for the experience the oysters are fresh!

So good! We stopped there on the way to Houston. We had a great time. Great service "Shay"
