A peaceful and welcoming environment that serves as a connection for my wife to her spiritual roots back in her country of birth, Taiwan. I've enjoyed sessions of worship, healing, and celebration, including Taiwanese-style vegetarian buffets in their dining hall. The people there share their love and knowledge of Buddhism with an openness and joy that makes this a spiritual oasis in a beautiful area of Austin near the Colorado River.
UPDATE: Bumping up to 5 stars because what is wrong with me that I would give 4 stars to a community striving to "help people find joy without looking" without striving. Also, they've made some improvements to the property and it's a nicer place to take my kids now.
One of the best buddhist temples i’ve visited.beautiful and peaceful.they have meditation, yoga practices (check calendar for visit) and tea room. 10/10
This temple is a hidden gem in Austin and I stop by whenever I drive by that area. The meditation hall provides a peaceful sanctuary, and in the past, they used to offer tasty vegan lunches for purchase.
Even if you're not Buddhist, it's a beautiful place worth checking out! Recently they put on an event for Chinese New Year and the festivities were quite wonderful. They also put on events throughout the week like tea ceremonies or meditation, which, if you haven't been to a proper meditation workshop I recommend the ones here because they're well paced and have variety.
Beautiful people, beautiful temple. Would be me home if I lived in Austin. Loving kindness.
One of the temples which has become close to my heart and helped me in my spiritual evolution. The Saturday Dharma services are enriching and the monks deliver the Dharma teachings in its simplest way. I have been visiting the temple for last 1 year and it has become my 2nd home. Everyone is compassionate and teachings are simple and profound. The learning Hub - is very well structured and learn the core teachings as it is from the Venerable's. This temple welcomes people from all religions. They organise events to give back to the society. Do Come, visit and experience the bliss and volunteer to the activities. There is lot for everyone here for all ages.
Is someone here that shows the place in Spanish?
Like a guide tour in Spanish.thanks, I would like to come here
My daughter Bodhi & I go to this temple everyday since 2021. It’s been a blessing in disguise to contribute, volunteer and visit this peaceful serene temple. From tea ceremony on Tuesday to meditation on Saturday - temple has number of character molding activities. I encourage anyone who is revisiting their spiritual quest to devote oneself to this beautiful place of worship. I have often let my worries to Buddha. This has immensely helped me in managing stress and leading a purposeful life for my daughter. She absolutely enjoys her time here and this temple treats her like it’s their daughter.
