Fondren Orthopedic Group LLP: Wimberley David W MD reviews
3Rude. Terrible bedside manner and was negative about the options. I understand telling someone the truth but this doctor lacks compassion. After reading other reviews, I can see this seems to be a common concern.
They completely waisted our time and just took my fathers money. For over 18 months Dr. Wimberly continuously referred my father to other doctors for back injections. Injections not covered by his insurance I might add. So every 4-6 weeks we went in for these injections with no relief. Scan after scan. Appointment after appointment with the promise that if he got the injection and they didn’t work we would have more options. All to find out that no that’s not the case at all. Dr. Wimberly has no other options for my father, but he can offer another referral for more injections in maybe a new locations. Do not waste your time here. He just wants your money and doesn’t care to help you at all.
Dr Wimberly is an incompetent and un-compassionate spine surgeon. His staff is equally incompetent and un-companionate. He also doesn’t believe in pain medication. He will prescribe you a $400 topical analgesic cream. He performed a completely unnecessary “laminectomy revision” when I in fact needed a fusion. He made my pinched nerve several times over worse. My leg began to drag after he operated on me resulting in an emergency fusion from another surgeon. Don’t be fooled by his Harvard degree. They give everyone A’s at Harvard. It’s standard practice. In addition to this surgery his team prescribed a muscle relaxer that had a drug interaction with my anti arrhythmia heart medication. It sent me into Afib which was the first and only time I’ve been in Afib. I called his nurse and she coldly told me to go to the hospital and hung up. At my follow up I informed Dr Wimberly of my pain which he replied, “it’s all in your head”. He couldn’t even say hi or introduce himself to my husband. After my surgery he wouldn’t even stick around to speak to me or my husband regarding what he had done during the surgery. If you like being treated like garbage he is the dr for you.
