This is a food stamp store, they make the majority of their money from food stamp Lone Star Card recipients. So in light of that you won't find the high quality of food particularly Meats that you were find either at Kroger or HEB, you will also find that many items they sell are past the pull date. They have had armed robberies and petty theft in a parking lot and many of their "customers" look like they just got out of Harris County Jail, hoards of little kids run around the store screaming, stealing candy or opening bottles of Snapple without paying but the cop that patrols there for security doesn't do anything about it, he just looks at his cell phone all day to see who likes him on Facebook, my advice is if you're going to spend your hard-earned money don't do it at this store or ANY Foodtown store

My MIL has dementia, took her shopping here because it was close to where she lives.
Mimi was our cashier and was super friendly! If we didn't live an hour away, we would shop here just to see Mimi!

Food town was just OK but I would have liked it much better if the largely Hispanic staff were more accommodating to customers inquiries. I pickup a few can goods and when I got home two of the cans were damaged. The last time I was there the worker in the meet department went out of here way to bring me a package of Boudin, which is the main reason for my visit is their selection of Bounding is very good!

Very good alternative instead of paying the high prices from HEB and other national chains. There is a good meat selection, produce, bread, and other excellent selections. I see this store all the time because I'm usually in the area, so I decided to take my chances going in there yesterday. Best decision I ever made.

Its seems more like a store for guys who dont want to take the whole family out to HEB but just want to go in the store to get the essentials and run out, like myself.

There's workers that work in the house have poor poor poor attitudes people at the cashier Hospitality well-taken they do good job but the ones that working all have attitudes and not enough sodas grape or strawberry

The flu virus has kept shelves emptied. I was able yo get milk and ground beef and most of the items I needed. I was surprised that the prices had definently been raised a lot higher then normal

Umm, I was not impressed. It’s actually pretty ghetto. Kids running all through the aisles, couldn’t find one thing. Confusing place!

Not a bad place to get your normal ingredients for cooking and its very fast not many lines are formed

VERY DIRTY, Management is never available to make a complaint. Cashiers are too busy on their phones to help with anything and gossiping across to each other. It's not a place to peacefully shop.

Produce is very good, and whoever is in charge of that department would be an asset to the whole store.

Money Services, they are not consistent and really do not want to be bothered, EXTREMELY SLOW AND NOT WELL TRAINED.

Poor customer service. The cashier was throwing the items on the counter. There was no communication. Real horrible experience yesterday

Homeless people are all over the outside of the store. The meat has been expired on several occasions and the strawberries had mold all over them! Choose carefully. The prices are okay. Very few organic or vegan items. The workers are nice but seem overwhelmed at times.

This has got to be the trashiest grocery store in Harris county. They even have female thugs with tattoos as cashiers. Just absolutely awful!

I like the store on 1960 W always clean and organized. I used to go early otherwise it gets crowd in the afternoon.

The cashier Christina is so sweet. I love checking out in her line because she's always exhibits wonderful customer service.she checks my items out quickly so that I'm in and out of the store.

I go in there just for quick runs. I really feel uncomfortable i have to be watching my back at all times.

Meat isnt always fresh. Spoil meat is known to have been bought. They cheat the chicken wing packs. They sale wing sections in a small pack. Then charge high prices for it. Thats a total rip-off.

Convenient to shop. Pretty sales and the employees for the most part was professional. I will return.
