Wow what an absolute disaster. There are bugs year round, not just any bugs, (black widows, roaches, camel spiders, ants, and many more!)
Dust blew through the windows, the plumbing system failed multiple times, many parts of the home were broken and I had to beg to get 90% of the stuff done. My wife was pregnant and couldn’t use the restroom multiple times due to the water overflowing in the toilette/tubs. The maintenance team slurs their words and ask you to try and repair it yourself! I had a few guys come out and tell me to watch YouTube videos! What a joke! The ONLY good thing about this is the mild security MP provide (which means nothing considering there is a large group of sex offenders living in a trailer park 1/4 mile away) and the housing office staff being professional once in a while. That’s it. DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU ARE COMFORTABLE LIVING IN SOMETHING ONE STEP DOWN FROM A MOTEL 6

Red brick homes are awful for families with young children. The backyards are not fenced in. The road behind the homes are riddled with nails, had a nail in my tires 4 times already this year. Doors and floors are incredibly loud and creaky, they wake up my newborn and toddler constantly. We've been on the transfer wait list for months. The Manger is so difficult to get ahold of, she's always on "lunch" or off, doesn't return calls/voice-mails. The windows and doors are so old, you can feel the wind, and so many bugs get in (ants, beetles, spiders, roaches)!

The maintenance workers are amazing! They always respond the same day we submit a work order. They're incredibly nice and quick, too.

Living at Fort Bliss Family Homes has brought me into contact with various members of the maintenance staff, but one individual truly stands out – Salrios. His service has been nothing short of incredible.

Salrios's commitment to excellence is evident in every interaction. Whether tackling a minor issue or a major repair, his approach is meticulous and thoughtful. He takes the time to understand the problem, explain the process, and ensure that the job is done right.

What really sets Salrios apart is his genuine care and attention to detail. His dedication to his work is not just about fixing things; it's about creating a positive living environment and building trust with the residents.

In a world where exceptional customer service is rare, Salrios's incredible efforts have been a refreshing and appreciated aspect of living at Fort Bliss Family Homes. His service alone has significantly enhanced my experience here, and I wholeheartedly commend him for his unwavering accomodation.

Sat on a waiting list for 9 months for on post housing with no communication until I received an email today August 18th telling me I have been removed from the waiting list after “multiple attempts via email and phone, ” to contact me. After checking, the only form of contact received was a single email August 17th telling me I had 48 hours to contact them before I was removed from the waitlist. But I guess they couldn’t be bothered with the patience required to wait the full 48.

I no longer have any desire or patience to waste time with these people. If you’re arriving to Fort Bliss I wouldn’t bother wasting your time sitting on a wait list for 9 months and in return getting less than 2 days to contact them.

Edit# 1.

The response that you see from them below is lip service. I've called them and emailed and received no response as of 12 Aug 23. They are not interested in actually solving problems.

If you don't believe me look at their maintenance record as seen in other reviews.

Here is a copy of the ice compliant:
This ICE complaint is strictly with regard to customer service on North Main post.

The Community manager and Stephanie may be the ones responsible for the inconsistency in communication or they may be victims themselves.

Living on Fort Bliss is the first time I have live on post in 15 years. I'll admit I don't know all of the rules and I am acclimating to some of the "HOA" style guidelines. The community guidelines state that you aren't allow to store recreational vehicles (my boat) at your residence. I am in violation of this guideline and I am working to remedy the situation. It will be resolved by the start of next week.

My complaint has everything to do with inconsistent responses from the community Manger, the office, and third party individuals and how the policy is applied, at least in perception, unevenly.

The inconsistent communication began when I received a letter on my door on or about 27Jul23. It was from the community Manager and it stated in general terms I was in violation of community guidelines. Immediately (within two hours) I went to the community center and spoke with the community manager about the situation and to communicate that I was working on a solution for the boat. At the time she seemed happy that I had come to see her to "communicate and let her know what was going on". She also stated that I could "put a tarp over it so I can't tell it's a boat" and said I will follow up with you about potential storage facilities (ones big enough for my boat). BLUF: she seemed ok with me working to remedy the problem and understood I didn't have an immediate solution.

Without any further communication from 27Jul - 03Aug I continued to move into the house, inprocess, and solve the problem. On 03Aug23 I received a phone call from the community center. The lady was claiming Army housing had sent an email demanding I move the boat. After speaking with the community manager you can imagine I was a little surprised. I asked for the POC for the email/Army housing, I asked for the spreadsheet I was on any type of information to be able to communicate with that person. Ultimately it was revealed to me "Chris from Army housing sent a text (not an email) and we can't give out his number". She then told me I had until the 15th to move the boat, I asked her if that date was arbitrary and she said "yes".

That phone call to me was followed up with an email to my place of work and IAW Army business practice I was promptly notified of my deficiency. In the email that was read to me was also inconsistent with what I had been told over the phone and in person. The email claimed that i had until next Tuesday 07Aug23 to remedy the situation.

That should sum up the inconsistency in communication.

The seemingly inconsistent application of the policy is with regard to another house on my street that has as of 03Aug23 a recreational vehicle in their carport and its been here longer than my boat.

I've paid for my brother to drive here and take my boat to his house. It will be gone this weekend. Not everyone has this option available to them and not everyone can afford 200+ dollars for storage per month.

As of today I've lived in the house for 19 days. It is absurd to think SMs should solve this kind of problem in such short time. This is not a unique problem but probably uncommon. The entire time I've lived in the house my AC hasn't worked and it's not fixed yet.

Took a month to get weather stripping put on our front door that was allowing ants and spiders to walk in. Made a maitenece request two weeks ago about our kitchen drawer falling part the guy picked it up today and told us it could be days or a week until he brings it back. Worst place we've ever lived. UPDATE: Management called and more or less said to tough it out.

After living on post for three years, I can say this was actually one of the better renting experiences I've had. The homes themselves are quite nice and really spacious. The neighborhoods themselves could use a little extra TLC as far as the landscaping and play areas for kids. Maintenance is a bit more hit and miss as far as reliability and getting things done in a reasonable amount of time. Maintenance is a bit careless in getting the job done and will always leave a mess, but they are kind and willing to help.

Probably the worst experience when it comes to maintenance service that we have had in almost 21 years of service. Their failure to communicate maintenance status (coordination with third party experts), track work orders (four that took over 3 months to complete), and care for the well being of Soldiers and their families (why do none of the playgrounds in Aero Vista have shade covers on them but other neighborhoods do?) is shameful. With Balfour Beatty being worth around 2.8B dollars you would think that investment into the maintenance team for our service members would be higher than is displayed. And no I won’t reach out to your service team to provide more feedback because actions speak louder than words, just fix the systems and process and learn from other installations!

So far our experience has been pretty good. The only downside is that some houses are old and there is a few cracks here and there so cockroaches and spiders seems to slip in. Otherwise it has been awesome. By the way, if you're moving here or is actually here and looking at reviews and own a dog, please for the love of everything don't let your dog bark for hours. I don't know why people here think their dog barking is cute or pointless because its not sweetheart. Beside my sadly careless neighbors, everything has been fine with the maintenance. I'll make sure to update when we move regarding moving out fees and such.

Homes are some of the better military homes but service is subpar at best. Multiple voicemails left unreturned. Takes forever to get a maintenance request completed. No accountability and no care for residents.
