Foundation Communities reviews
10Excellent service with courteous & competent staff. Thankful I found Prosper Tax Service.
They helped me and my children not be homeless living in my van anymore and to complete school
I was at the wrong location but the young lady at counter was friendly and helpful. She even took the time to help me find the right destination.
Another rejection for job applicants in response to a computer generated email? That is hard to say and based on what criteria? I want to know why and how Foundation Communities does your work?
I am an instructor since 1997 and never any complaints. The reason I continue over and over to apply for jobs at Foundation is because in 2018 your organization was very supportive to me.
I never lived there but you gave me resources and direction.
Truth be told, I truly want to give back to your organization and do good work!
Feels like Foundation Communities discriminates?
I have many years as an office manager, worked in hospitality and several start ups! I have applied for those jobs in the past and consistently get your courtesy as a phone call?
Please let me know your criteria? It really is dismissive and to continue to reject truly good people that want to give back freely to Foundation Communities!
Who is your senior hiring manager?
May I suggest for applicants take the time to give generously and courtesy to at least a phone interview.
Foundation Communities clearly does not care about people!
Fantastic people and very good customer service, I worked for them it’s a good opportunities for the continuing education, I recommend for the people they look for affordable housing ‘waiting list always available’ ask for it
I drove 100 miles round trip spent $15 for gas & waited in my car almost an hour & a half only to be told they ran out of applications. Now I have a useless money order for $20 & nothing to show for it. I got the email application invitation online so I don't see why everything else couldn't be handled this way I'm 61 yrs old & will probably be homeless soon but it's all just such a bad joke. Don't waste your time.
Nosy staff and even more nosy residents. People like to feel relaxed at home without being under surveillance 24/7.
They do your taxes for free but take a long time for your paper to go to IRS. I gave them my paper work on April 23 and now it’s May 17 they haven’t done anything. I regret doing my taxes here.
The folks need to be commended for their hard work and dedication. Please be sure to tell each of them how much they mean to us tax payers.
(Not necessarily better) :
1-Star for the tax/financial and other (non-residential) services offered (but don't think Foundation Communities is doing it out of purely philanthropic reasons).
Don't walk, run! For those who haven't been able to rent from Foundation Communities, you may want to take it as a sign of protection (from your God or guardian angel) and move on. For those giving 4-5 stars, I doubt that you've EVER lived in a Foundation Communities' property. Perhaps you took the tour (with the cold sandwiches) ?
If you are an employee, spouse, consultant, volunteer, visitor, admirer, partner or "friend" of Foundation Communities, posting here skews the ratings, and you should, instead, post on the websites specifically designed for that purpose (e.g, GD, ID, etc.). But I'm sure you already knew that and realize the pressure you must have been under to post a positive review or the incentive (bribe) you'll miss out on if you don't.
My Personal Experience: Initially IMPRESSED, then ENCOURAGED, then STUNNED, then SHOCKED. Now, OUTRAGED!
It's not what you think. If you are a tenant/resident, you are treated no differently than a number (or a child). As long as you bow down to them and do as you are told (despite how unreasonable their requests are), then you may be left alone with what is left of your life, because they have reduced you to the level of submission that they can manage and manipulate you.
There are too many off-lease occupants residing (unchecked) on these properties. (Think about it. When a crime occurs, how do you canvass a whole subcommunity of residents who don't exist on paper? Trust me, you don't these properties in your neighborhood.)
Just like there are decent tenants here, there are some "good" people that are on staff with Foundation Communities. If they are decent, they won't hang around for very long after the veil is lifted. There are even some okay employees that choose to stick around; but they are usually employed in services not directly involved in the day-to-day property management. And even then, these employees are afraid, naïve, or misguided – or all of the above.
If Foundation Communities would just stick with basic human dignities (e.g, according to the hierarchy of human needs), they wouldn't be as far off-course as they are now. But their "success" story is built on the backs of desperate tenants in an extremely opportunistic housing market. They are sanctioned by the municipalities that increasingly empower them, because people don't care as much as they would like to believe that they do. And besides, who else is going to deal with a marginalized population that wealthy people wish would just go away?
Instead of a cornerstone, "Foundation" Communities is more like a stumbling block. Don't judge this book of fiction by its cover – or sound bites (of alternative facts) for that matter. Open your eyes and quit empowering this mega slumlord!
