We've been getting our taxes done by Peggy Price at Fowler Tax for a few years, and stuck with her when it changed to Korpal, Lopez, and Associates.

After 3 years in a row of owing a small amount, while everyone around me was enjoying a refund, I took the leap and tried out a professional. Peggy is knowledgeable, friendly, and gives straight talk recommendations. Even though we only talk for a short time once a year, she feels like family, and it gives me that small town feel that has me obsessed with Gilmore Girls. I imagine that's the way my mom would give tax advice, if she knew the ins and outs of the tax code.

We do married filing jointly, and have had 2 kids and a house join our lives in the few years we've been working with Peggy. She helped us navigate the child tax credit, and also her software allows her to give us an estimate of what our expected refund for the following year (if nothing big changes). Of course everyone's finances are different, but we went from having to pay $100 to receiving 3k-4k refunds each year. I'm considering changing my W4 to get a smaller refund, and she went over the consequences of that choice too.

I have never felt rushed, and they were flexible when Covid hit, allowing us to drop off our documents and do our meeting over secure email/phone.

I'd highly recommend Peggy Price, and the cost of the return is more than covered by the time, stress, and money that we've saved. As tax laws change from year to year, I can always call Peggy with any questions and know that she'll answer with patience and honesty. Did a pretty simple tax return in 2019. Wanted it done professionally to ensure correct completion. Agent messed up, and had to sort out a rejection in 2019 and fix the paperwork to get things in order. Today in 2021 I'm still working around the error made by this agent. Worst $400 I ever spent.

They were very professional. They took their time and explained everything thoroughly. Made me fill like we have know each other for a long time.

Peggy Price prepared my return last year and this year. She was friendly, thorough, and professional. In addition, she went out of her way to make sure I understood everything about my return. She was always available to answer any questions I had, and assisted me with gathering the necessary documents she needed to prepare an accurate return. Her professionalism gave me the confidence to know that I was working with the right people.

I don't know if I've ever had to write a bad review before. Unfortunately, Fowler Tax deserves one. We are a small family-run business and went to Fowler to help do our books. The owner directly lied to us on multiple occasions. We were misled as to who would be handling our books. The owner actually said he had to charge us more because he underestimated how much work it would be. What we do is simple.we were shocked. We spent $5,100 and over a year with them, with nothing to show for it. It was a heartbreaking experience that really set us back, emotionally and financially.

We've been dealing with Barry Fowler and his team now for almost 3 years here in Cypress, TX. I must say they are professional, personable, have great service and always has time to answer a question either in person, on the phone or email. Of course, email is the communication method of choice. You will have access to both hard copy and electronic documents which are easy to understand. If not, they will explain them to you.
Oh yeah and another thing. Barry puts out a very informative and at times funny news letter to help keep you informed on updates with the IRS, deadlines and other pertinent info concerning finances.

This company nickle and dimed me to death! In one instance they charged me $100 for a 1099 with 2 sub-contractors and $101 for another one with 1 sub-contractor, and when I inquired about the price, the gentleman adamantly told me "well that's the price".

Mrs. Peggy, however, was extremely kind, informative, and professional while completing my taxes.

Everything was priced extremely high with no explanation.

There are enormous amounts of hidden fees.again, with no explanation.

Did my taxes with Fowler Tax, friendly professional services. They took time to explain my taxes and how to save more on taxes. Awesome staff. My first time using a tax service thought it would be really expensive. Reasonable cost and they went above and beyond all expectations!

Ohhh, former employee so I know firsthand how they love to overcharge for tax, bookkeeping and resolution services especially if youre a owner operator. Antiquated services which are not accommodating to OTR drivers or technically challenged customers and a revolving door of employees because the husband-wife team lacks tact or respect for their employees.

I had these people do my business taxes. They don't do much for what they charge and then they'll charge you another $40.00 if you want to get your documents electronically. Do yourself a favor and find someone that does more than use a glorified version of turbotax.
