Frank Ponce, MD, Pasadena TX

I’ve been a patient of Dr Ponce for several years. He’s easy to communicate and get along with; very down to earth kind of guy. His office staff is top notch as well. Can’t say enough good things about these ladies!

The receptionist, Sely, is kind, compassionate, and understanding. The regular office staff are attentive, efficient, and knowledgeable. Dr. Ponce has been my primary physician for more than eight years. His bedside manner is first rate. He is kind and really listens to his patients. Even when his office is busy and Dr. Ponce tries very hard to keep patients’ respective schedules, he does not rush his patients or his examinations. It’s obvious Dr. Ponce is an old soul who practices modern medicine very well.

I had great experiences with Dr. Ponce himself, but a couple weeks ago I go to set an appointment and get a call close to the appointment saying I was terminated from the practice for missing 4 appointments which is false. The appointments I missed I called multiple times and the front desk never returned any calls or messages so that I could reschedule. I'm in sales, which I made clear when I updated my paperwork and also told them my schedule is crazy and the only off day I have when they are open is on Mondays which they never have openings on. I am highly disappointed in this practice because I was with them for a couple of years and had 0 bad experiences until now.

I am not a big reviewer. If I do, it’s one of two reasons. Either 1) I had a phenomenal experience that I must rave about or 2) the experience warranted me to warn others never to go some where again.

About a two weeks ago I came down with COVID and saw the KWA Urgent Care because I couldn’t get in to see Dr. Ponce. They did great. Luckily I stayed on top and managed my symptoms. Towards the day 4-5 I started developing a deep and painful cough. I hadn’t seen doctor Ponce since earlier this year. I reached out via the health app and let him know what was going on. To be honest, I expected a hello please set up an appointment to come see doctor Ponce.

To my surprise, Dr. Ponce reached out and said what I needed to do and went as far as calling medicine in for me. Never asked me to come in. Never billed me.

If that doesn’t speak volumes about what a true practitioner that deeply cares about his patients then I don’t know what I can say to convince you.

Thank you Doc for being great. Not only to me but to my my family as well.

If you’re looking for a family doctor, look no more.

He was in hurry and not patient to listen to me.he claim that i have too much symptoms that needed to be refered to few specialists and he can only refer me one as his team dont have time to refer me to multiple specialists, he keeps interrupting me and dont want to listen.i hated the visit. He even was speaking too fast though i told him slow down please i speak broken english. Totally disappoint. I dont recommend this doctor at all
