Freaky Taco reviews
13I had been meaning to visit this place for a while now because of the unique taco offerings and vegetarian options. The latter is especially important to me because several taco places have gradually reduced their vegetarian menu items. We ordered all the vegetarian/vegan options on their menu and they all tasted very nice - but for the portion size, they are really expensive. For comparison, they are competing with Torchy's Tacos and Taco Ocho - for both these restaurants, I am full after eating 2 tacos - great tasting tacos, by the way. But in Freaky Taco, it felt like I had appetizers and completely skipped the main course. For that, they should be priced accordingly, but the overall outing cost was similar to Torchy's or Ocho. I, for one, do not see myself going back too often.
Not a bad taco spot at all. I got 3 tacos & the Freaky Short Rib was busting! The Chicken Tinga is good also, but the AL Pastor was just ok to me. The service was great and I like the vibe. I will be back for sure.
I hate to rate this place down
Here’s the thing.we pulled up and I loved the exterior. Definitely rang with my kind of vibes and I felt the same inside. From air duct covers that look like beer cans to random paintings on the wall, I REALLY wanted them to be good. After I saw the prices ($6+ dollars for a taco), I was hoping they’d be GREAT. That’s an EXPENSIVE taco. I at least was thinking it would but a big taco. That’s literally the price of a meal.
I got the Yucatán and the seductive brisket. While it was good food, it really wasn’t worth the price. The tacos weren’t even large.they were average size. If the ingredients are supposed to compensate for the extra cost, they didn’t. The Yucatán was mostly gristle, which was disappointing. I LOVE elote, and theirs was really good, but it was also $4.50, which again, for the size, wasn’t really worth it.
They did have some juice or agua Fresca that was delicious.
I couldn’t decide between 3 stars or 4, but feel I’m closer to 4 (if you don’t care about price, then a solid 4)
Overall, I loved the vibe, the food was good.enough to get 4 stars but not great and not really worth the cost.
Over priced. Long wait. Tired looking staff all on their phones. Steak taco so chewy had to spit it out. Pork tacos dry and salty. Waste of my money.
Free chips and salsa!
Tacos where, meh.
Elotes was amazing!
I would give this place a 6/10.
Pretty good taco place. The vegetarian options are tasty. There plenty of meat based tacos. My wife said the the brisket was quite good.
Visited for lunch on a Monday and it was not very busy. Great service from lady taking the orders and provided great suggestions. I had a Frisco taco as well as chips, guacamole and yellow queso. All food items were VERY TASTY, well prepared and delivered quickly. Definitely warrants a repeat visit.
Just stopped in with wife and daughter we wanted to try a new spot. They both loved their tacos and SD was very flavorful. I didn't get to try my tacos because I turned my head and my dogs ate my tacos, by the look on my dogs faces they really enjoyed my order as well. I will have to stop by again so I can experience the joy they all had
Freaky Taco has been open a while but finally decided to go in. Pleasantly surprised. Queso Blanco is really good. Tried the ribeye and the Frisco taco. Both were really good but the Frisco taco won that taco battle. Good amount of TVs if you want to catch a game. Staff was friendly. Good execution. Will definitely go back to try each taco.
Found our new taco place! Their happy hour is EVERYDAY! Chips & Salsa come with your tacos and their tacos are really good! Reminds me of an upscale Velvet Taco without the upscale price!
Really good place to eat! We got four tacos with a side of Elite street corn and some refried black beans for roughly $32. They also served us some chips and salsa for free. They do have a full bar so we got two draft beers. No wheat beer. Music was kind of loud. We had to get close to talk but that was the only negative. Service was great! Employees were friendly. And food was exceptional. We will be back to try some of the other tacos. They are vegetarian friendly. Thank you, Freaky Taco!
They serve mexican fusion tacos. Menu has just tacos and some sides.
Taste is innovative, and food is fresh.
We had falafel and naughty chicken taco. They serve complimentary salsa and nachos.
