Frijoles Mexican Restaurant, San Antonio TX

Went through the drive-thru I haven't been there in probably 17 years I've always wanted to go there but was hardly ever in the area I ordered the enchilada plate I'm a big fan of that staple here in San Antonio but I can honestly say the beef that was in the enchilada was spoiled

The food is old and reheated. I tried to give them multiple chances. The burger patty was super salty, the bacon has a horrible old after taste, the scrambled eggs are runny and wet, the carne guisada is hard and "nervy", the pancakes are doughy. The owner is stingy with the hot sauce, the tortillas are reheated and get hard. The last draw was went she gave us a side of rotten tomatoes that ruined everyone's food. They will not get one more penny out of us. I gave one star because you can't give less.

You would be hard pressed to find better tortillas. The food is soild good and flavor is there. Salsa has great bite!

This place food is horrible don't know how they get decent ratings. I ordered eggs and potato tacos with guacamole and eggs where wet like they where not done, guacamole was bitter and potatoes hard and not fresh. Worst tacos I have ever eaten

Not bad for a San Antonio taco place, but the tacos are a bit bland tasting and significantly smaller than RGV breakfast tacos.

The food wasn't great my wife had potato and egg and the potatoes were black. They were probably peeled and cut the day before and left out flavor was terrible. To begin with the git my order wrong coffee was cold definitely disappointed would not recommend

Good food clean and friendly service but a little pricey on meat dishes especially since there are other restaurants with simler tasty foods in the immediate area.

I didn’t get to eat arrived at 100 pm to get the special while on break the lady said no special cause they didn’t have tea i said we’d take a different drink she said we’d have to pay extra. When she said we close at 200 well i said ty and left never again. Horrible service

This place is so gross and nasty the food and service is bad this place rips people money off I asked for breakfast and they gave me lunch and would not return my plate or money

We’ve been coming here for the last 2 month Their Tortillas are delicious but this last time we came and ordered Machacado ala Mexicana and what a disappointment. No Machacado one lady was looking hard and swearing it had Machacado so we got refunded our money and went to reparo what a difference in meat. I wish I could post a picture. To show you the difference

Today went this place with my my two kids.

It was easy to find parking.
When we walked in it was clean and very presentable.
It didn’t take long for us to get our food.
Beans and rice were good, the ground meat Im Enchiladas is kinda dry, but the plate that my kids got were really good according to them.
The tortillas are kinda dry and have a lot of flour.

Overall, this place is a pretty good place to come dine in the morning, not very busy.

Hidden little gem

Good food at reasonable price. But their service goes above and beyond. I had an emergency being stranded nearby, and they generously made the time and effort to assist me. Please support this business.

Home made tortillas were great, food was really good and seasoned well. Highly recommend and would like to try their breakfast next.

Food wasn’t bad, the eggs were a little undercooked but that didn’t stop me! It was still good but the eggs could totally throw someone off.

The best carniguosado ever. Refried beans best ever! Been going their for over 20 years. Sandra is the oner. So sweet! Love her to death. All thumbs up. Say hello to Rachel she is your cashier?

This is one of my favorite restaurants here I love the people here and the food here is delicious, always get great service here!
