Fuqua Family Practice And Urgent Care Dr. Jarrod Drab D.O., Houston TX

First time visit today for a throat infection. I have no insurance and this was the cheapest I found near me. I paid $75 for just the visit (no insurance). I arrived early to fill out new patient paperwork. My appt.was at 9: 15 am nd the lobby was not busy or full. The nurse was nice and polite. Dr. Drab was great and caring, he actually listens to what you have to say and isnt one of those "1 complaint only, at a time Dr. 's" I explained my health concerns and previous experiences with other physicians and he took it all into consideration. He also asked a lot of good questions and did not mind answering all of my questions. I even requested generic medications and he took the time to show me how much each medication would cost at my pharmacy. He asked if certain medications worked better than others to get my preference and when I mentioned the medications that made me uncomfortable, he understood and didnt suggest those. My overall experience was great for the price I felt like he took the time to check not only my throat but also my ears and nasal cavity. I recommended my mom switch to him since the Dr.she sees now is very, in and out.

I gave 1 star review because Doctor's assistance irresponsibity. I was waiting for the call back about my MRI result since March and I have never got any missed call or voice mail from her as she claimed. I finally walked in on the 22th June and another assistance promised to call me back about my referral on the 23th June and that never happened. I tried to call his office phone number on the 25th again and nobody ever accepted my phone call. This is the worst management office and unprofessional staffs I have ever deal with.

Dr Drabb is very nice, his staff is very friendly they just get really busy at times. Very happy he is close to home.

Terrible and unprofessional staff. Do not go here if you have an urgent need. They are not urgent care, FALSE ADVERTISING. Scheduled an appointment for my Fiance today, he was having vomiting, fever, and severe sweating. I asked if they accept walk ins for urgent issues. Person answering phones said yes they do but unless it's a life threatening issue. Explained he needs to be seen for vomiting and fever, was told they could see him asap. He gets there, they immediately take his money and sit him in a chair waiting for over an hour. He was not even checked on by a medical assistant. I call to notify them he needs immediate attention as his symptoms have now worsened over the hour he has been waiting in their office, asked if they have an idea on how much longer he will have to wait. The woman answering phones had no idea and said they will work him in when they can. Then asked to speak with the office manager, the woman did not want to let me speak to her. I insisted, then the so called manager Chi informed me they are not an urgent care center and there are still 3 patients ahead of him, and that she has no idea on how much longer he will be waiting. Staff are clearly incompetent, and the office manager Chi is helping Dr. Drab with FALSE ADVERTISING.

Dr. Drab is professional and very concerned with your welfare. I have been seeing his office for several years. The staff has always been polite and helpful. I will continue to see Dr. Drab.

This doctor gave me a prescription for a muscle relaxer for pain I have been experiencing. This doctor KNOWS I am diabetic. This medicine is KNOWN to raise blood glucose levels. This was NOT mentioned to me. I have been battling high blood glucose levels all day because of his carelessness. Because of his mistake my health has been adversely affected.
That aside, I would not recommend this doctor to anyone unless all other doctors in the city of Houston and the surrounding areas are closed. Interacting with him is weird. I got no diagnosis, just a remedy that ENDED UP HURTING ME MORE. He is a quack. If you're driving to this clinic, abort mission immediately.

Dr. Drab is wonderful. He always gives you plenty of time during your visit. He has been my doctor for four years and I am staying here! The office is very clean and the staff is super! Thanks!

I am not a patient of Dr. Drabb, but my mom is. Every time I go with my mom everyone is very friendly nice staff and best of all awsome Dr.

HE ACTED AZ IF U WAS A DRUG ADDICT! I WAS OFFENDED I HAVE SEVERE ISSUES HE DIDN'T TREAT. AT ALL NO REFERRALS. HE GAVE ME BOULSHIT THAT DIDN'T WORK AND THAN HE TOLD ME THAT PPL COMPLAIN ABOUT MEDICATION HE GIVES DONOT WORK HELLO UR GETTING PAID TREAT YOUR PATIENTS! NOOOOOOOOOO RECOMENDED AT ALL

Dr. Drab is always very professional and the front desk staff is helpful. The front desk staff is young and often unorganized, but their intentions are good. I see one lady called them scam artists, which I find humorous because they get more money from insurance companies than they do from cash patients. Anyhow, the doctor is great and the staff is always helpful. I would recommend anyone to go.

= BE CAREFUL WHEN THEY ASK YOU IF WOULD LIKE A DNA TEST, I WAS TOLD THAT MY INSURANCE WOULD COVER IT. MEDICUS LAB CHARGES $785.90, I CALLED THE OFFICE AND WAS TOLD IT WAS SENT TO A IN WORK LAB - QUEST LAB, I NOW OWE $407.20 , DUE TO MEDICUS LAB IS OUT OF NET WORK WITH MY INSURANCE CIGNA. ALSO UNITED TOXICOLOGY CHARGES $10,125.99. TO PROCESS DNA TEST. I AM STILL WAITING ON THAT BILL, OFFICE VISIT WAS IN JUNE 2016.

The staff is the worst staff ever. They do not know how to properly file or make claims to the insurance. As for the doctor, he is great but having to deal with broken English staff is not worth the wait and pain.

Wonderful staff, my daughter was sick and the great staff stayed late until we made it there. The Dr.was was not too friendly and seemed a little aggravated. But overall, he prescribed her the right meds, now she's all better!

The Man Doctor was amazing, however they didn't do exactly all that needed to be done, the assistants are ok

THIS IS THE WORST URGENT CARE FACILITY EVER! THE FRONT DESK EMPLOYEES ARE INCOMPETENT AND ALWAYS SCREW STUFF UP. I CAN HARDLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE SAYING.

They DO NOT ACCEPT SELF PAY PATIENTS. Because theyre trying to screw up the government i just called and lady hung up on me. Rude people! Dont go here.
