Galaxy Cafe, Austin TX

Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside, a heart of gold! Friendly and cute place. We were so lucky to stumble upon this place. As people who really appreciate having healthier options on the menu, we enjoyed our meal at Galaxy cafe!
The Greek salad (we added avocado) was a great starter for us to share (2people)
we got 2 burgers from gluten free menu and certainly left smiling.

Love this place.would come again when in austin!

An entire Gluten Free menu! Excellent service and some of the best mint tea I've had in a while.

Cute place with decent reviews. Unfortunately we didn’t agree with the rating.

The French press coffee was weak. The eggs had absolutely no salt to speak of. The bacon was tasty but it was unevenly cooked.

My partner’s eggs were also unseasoned but the biggest issue was the sweet potatoes. They were unpeeled, under seasoned and undercooked. Raw sweet potato is awful.

When a gentleman came by to ask how everything was, we said we had a few suggestions but he cut us off and replied with, “okay, take your time” and walked away! I’m not sure if it was a misunderstanding but it was very odd!

$40 total, it was way too expensive for what we got.

Great tasty food, quick serving. Quiet atmosphere. With my kids I have tradition to have a lunch here once a week. Because this is the place we want to return again and again.
Recommended.

Ordered mushroom Swiss Burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was flavorful and juicy.

Good, fresh food! Their fountain drink selection is great. I loved the prickly pear lemonade “pink drink. ” The turkey and brie sandwich was delicious! Very satisfying.

Pleasant, good food, historic neighborhood. Brought a book in had a coffee and yogurt. Happy smiley faces. Lot of parking too!

This is a pretty great cafe, serving classic American diner fare such as a chicken salad sandwich.which is what I ordered.

Specifically, I found the chicken salad to be very tasty, while avoiding the common pitfall of being too moist.

Service was excellent.

My only issue was I found the establishment to be kind of dingy, with ambiguous warehouse carpet.

One of my Top choices for Gluten Free food. They never sacrifice taste either, all their dishes are savory and def repeaters.

Had to give it another try. Thought I had maybe been shorted on portion yesterday.

Of note when hungover; there is an adult menu on the other side.

This restaurant is pretty good considering how its well kept, has a good amount of options (including a gluten free menu) and that the people running the place are nice. I had breakfast, so I can't speak on everything else but I had a good meal, so I will assume that you will too. Gonna give this a 8.5/10. Good job!

Very chill atmosphere. The wait staff was friendly and attentive.
The food is pretty good, but a little pricey for what it is. My fries were hot and crispy, so I was happy! Cute place with a retro vibe.

I don’t usually do this, but the personnel earns my respect. It’s always an excellent experience. They absolutely live up to their vision statement. I wish there was a location in Dallas!

Every time I am in Austin for assignments, I get take-out and it’s ready conveniently placed next to the exit door by the time I arrive.

The food was amazing, especially the strawberry Pancakes, the bacon wasnt my favorite but the service was great and the staff were also really nice overall I recommend eating here they have amazing food and great service

Decent pricing, food is pretty good. It's an order at the counter, take a number and they bring it to you kind of place, not sit down service.

Birthday Breakfast. Fast easy.self serve coffee/drinks. Solid food even better PEOPLE! Community type place where people who are doing things go!
