Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier reviews
15We had an amazing time. I was able to time the fareswheel perfectly with the sunset. We got in line for that about 32 minutes early. Cost about 120 for four people to get in all rides includes. Great fun for families and / or romance if you're looking for a beautiful sunset
Over rated! The price of food and drinks are high to be expected, but with little entertainment. Limited games to play it really not worth not! The workers are not very friendly. The view of the ocean is nice.
I thought the price was a bit expensive just to access the pier. And on Friday it opened at 4pm, I thought it was late
It's a small attraction that I personally think is overpriced to the fullest to take advantage of tourists. I wouldn't go unless you plan to be there for a while. Parking was $12, admission was $11 with no ride access, and a bottle of water is $4.
Well worth the price, not very many rides but the ones they have were pretty good. Some a little fast and scary but had a great time.
The rides were great and the kids had an amazing time. However the experience at Bubba Gumps was less than desirable. The wait was long, the service was slow and the food was not worth the price. Wait staff was friendly, but it took multiple trips to get one item.
A real American atmosphere with this pretty pontoon.
If you are a tourist, you obviously have to take an hour to go for a walk
You will have to pay $11 to enter, but you also have a $28 pass which includes most activities. You also have many Restaurants, including the most famous, the famous Bubba Gump Restaurant.
We spent two hours there, and frankly we had a great time
Super cute! Had A LOT OF FUN! Been to boardwalks all across America, this was one of the best ones. At least top three. They don't have that many rides but the ride they do have are fun AF. Iron shark was the best steel boardwalk roller coaster in America. Texas Star Flyer was terrifying. My husband rode twice. I had to get off. Cyclone is a carnival classic! Pirates plunge was the perfect ride for the Texas heat, it was definitely a low rent splash mountain but it'll quench your thirst.
The margaritas we're huge and perfect for the sun. The food was all right. I was surprised at how good the fries were.
Looks nice at night. Giving 2 starts because you have to pay to enter even if you don’t want to ride on the rides.
One of the rides malfunctioned while we were hundreds of feet in the air, and they didn't fix it until 30 minutes of us being stuck
It was an absolute blast! Even with a handful of rides down, my family and I still had a riot of a time since the rides that were running were so much fun.
It's pricey for a family of four and such a small park, but we had no issues going on rides multiple times and enjoying it every time. It was a slower day so my youngest son got on the Texas Sky Flyer five times before the day was done.
Clean, decent food, and friendly staff who were always willing to help. So much fun.
Went for a weekend getaway with the family and I must say I had a blast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the operators stood out. Joseph was working the Kiddie Bumper Cars and he was so nice and entertaining to my daughter. He made sure to greet her by name after the first few rides. My daughter won't stop talking about him.
We had an awesome time here yesterday! All of the staff is super friendly, it's clean and well taken care of, and the rides were lots of fun!
A really great place to walk around and take in Galveston. The ride selection is by no means the best but for me just walking the place is great.
This place is magical. Lights at night. Right on the water. My youngest is three and he could go on all the rides except for like 2 of them. It was worth the money and we had a great time.
