Galveston's 61st Street Fishing Pier

I'm a fireman, not a fisherman, with that said, CDawg was amazingly helpful in showing me how to fish and best ways to set up the bait. His help along with Chris from the night crew made the whole fishing trip worth the walk and so much fun. Well worth the trip over. We fished till 230 in the morning, a night my kids and I will never forget!

I would give less if I could. The staff at night is rough and rude watch yourself and don't bring your kids

So, I just left a 5 star review however I came in tonight an had a poor experience. The guy with the captain hat was a power trip! I open the door for a person with 5 rods and a cart, he yells for me to come back in. Instead of lending us a pair of pliers, he charges us 8$. He was just flat out rude and ruined our experience. The guy who comes in after him is super chill! He deserves 5 stars alone, always really kind guy, not so much like the others. I won’t be coming back.

I came to fish this evening for my 1st time. I was soo impressed with the Happiness Inside. They even opened the door and welcomed me in. I didn’t get to stay long because of other obligations. Lol. But. I met a man called CDAWG and Gosh. He sure was very nice and happy and informative. With Lots of great Fishing Information and Knowledge. After meeting him. I would like to say. Thanks and Call Him Captain CDAWG …What a great Accomplishment and a Privilege to be called Captain… I look forward to talking to him more about his experiences at Sea and Fishing. I will definitely be coming back to FISH and to check out the rest of the bait shop too. I just love the whole Vibe of this place.

It was an amazing experience.we were able to catch a number of baby sharks.everything was awesome

Fun experience! Cdawg was kind and helpful. No big catches but even the little ones kept our kids' attention. It was hot but the ocean breeze was fantastic.

Awesome rooftop bar where you can watch the pier. Great service upstairs and down. Open til midnight I believe. Neat place.

Wife and I enjoy sitting on the upper deck. Watching ppl fish and just relaxing. They could have a Better and more of a selection of Beers. Your kinda forced to drink the local beverages, if you plan on having 1 or 2 while enjoying the view and sea breeze.
