I had my vehicle serviced by Gary's for a year. They seemed honest and nice at first. Then, my vehicle had some minor engine trouble. I had it repaired by them, only to find out in hind site (by my uncle- a mechanic in another city) that I was way overcharged. A few months later, it was flooded by hurricane waters. I had the vehicle towed in to Gary's (they're very close to my house) to see if my car could be salvaged. I was charged an exorbitant amount JUST for the estimate. Then, they tacked on storage fees after they said it would be several thousands of dollars to repair. Unfortunately, insurance did not cover any of these fees, because I took the car for an estimate voluntarily. They still refused to waive the storage fees (the car was there for almost a week, awaiting insurance to pick up). Horrible service, unfair prices.

I literally just got home minutes ago from Gary's for a simple wheel bearing fix (which the new manager told me was not urgent but I had it done anyway) and spent $429 to have it, a tire patch, and an oil change done. I was absolutely assured by the new manager (I believe his name is James?) that NOTHING ELSE was wrong with my vehicle and that that should be the fix I needed due to the whining noise coming from under my gas pedal when going higher than 40mph speeds.
**Sidenote to that: I was just there with my car not two months ago and let them know about the whining and was assured that the only thing I needed then was two new tires and an alignment, which did not end up being the case as I suspected!
Anyway, I left Gary's today and was the last customer out the door, as they closed at 1: 00pm but did not have my car ready until after 1: 00. On the way home, my ABS light came on all of a sudden and I began hearing a grinding noise when I put my foot on the brake (I've never even had my brakes SQUEAL, let alone GRIND!) - and to my horror, my brakes almost failed at the red light on 99 and Franz right behind another car (I had the person I live with in the car with me as a witness to this).
I have been a loyal patron at Gary's Auto and Tire for the past year because of a strong reference by an older gentleman that I know who's used them for years. When I first started taking my car there in late 2016, I didn't have any issues. But within the past several months, service and integrity have gone downhill QUICKLY (another issue that I had with the mechanics there several months ago at my routine oil change was having my original iPhone charger STOLEN out of my vehicle! And when I let Sean and Gary know, they assured me that they would replace it and fire the individual who did it - when I went in to pick up my replacement charger, they had bought me the cheapest brand of a CRICKET charger for an iPhone rather than replacing it with the real deal, which is what I originally had. Absolutely despicable). Nonetheless, I have continued to go back there because they also assured me that the person who'd done it no longer worked there and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now, not only did I find out today that Sean no longer even works there after just 2 months, but now the new staff obviously can't even put the new parts on correctly and I am out a vehicle for the weekend since their shop doesn't open again until Monday morning!
Here's where I'm at now - because I cannot get a hold of anyone at the shop to find out what the hell happened to my car between dropping it off and picking it up and am out a car for the weekend, because my life and my family's lives were put in danger because of Gary's staff's incompetency today, and because they have continued to drain money from my account while not listening to what I originally expressed that I wanted to them to look at (which has now turned into even more serious problems), I will be speaking to my attorney and looking into filing a lawsuit against their shop. Not only that, but I will be reporting them to the BBB, as well as (obviously) taking my business elsewhere and recommending to everyone I know, and don't know, to take their business ANYWHERE BUT HERE. I am so disappointed and angry right now - this is unacceptable, BAD business!
