My car has been broken into and my window shattered TWICE in the last seven weeks. I park in the gated lot near my apartment, but the gates have been broken for months. The first time this happened I emailed management to let them know what happened and they said they would have the new gate system up "by the end of next week. " This was June 6th. They have not rolled out the new gate system so literally anyone is able to just walk inside the complex, my car window was shattered a second time, and I can't even file it on my insurance because my rate would go up as it's the second time this has happened in such a short period of time.

Many people have been without AC for MONTHS. We haven't had access to the fitness center since December.

Do not move here.

Edit: Got a response from the prop manager that basically said the gates have been taking so long because the gates need wifi and the installation company has been installing it? Didn’t explain why it’s almost 2 months past the projected end date and it’s not finished.

Edit: As of 9/20 the gates are still not functional, in fact, now even the CAR gates are not working. I get no responses from management to my emails.

I’ve lived here close to a year and have issues from day one. It’s an older property and not a luxury property like how they market it. That’s all hype. You pay for the location.

In the unit, it’s nice looking overall but lots of things are wrong - like things coming loose, ceiling leak/mold, dishwasher going out, water pressure weak, hard to clean tub, mysterious black stuff that comes out of the faucets, broken mailboxes they never fixed-so can’t get my mail…

The neighbors don’t abide by the nonsmoking addendum and I smell it in my apartment. Can’t use my balcony because the neighbor downstairs smokes cigarettes. The apartment manager and staff basically told me to move units but you can smell weed all over the complex.

The neighbors that walk their dogs don’t clean up after their pets often and walking around stinks.the pool was dirty and full of unwatched children most of the summer.

It’s hard to get packages, the access for delivery drivers is so hard they have to use a 3rd party to get you your packages.

The perk is the location and that gets 2 stars.

Vomit and feces in hallways that has been there for four months, since April, and never resolved. Management does not reply to emails. Entire apartment reeks of urine and dog waste. Trash is everywhere and nothing is ever cleaned.

DONT LIVE HERE. There’s no security or cameras to watch your car so this is what happens. Think I’m lying? Go check to stats. Numbers don’t lie. Ryan is the best thing about this place.

All 5 stars for Ryan! He has been an amazing asset to this community. During freeze at Christmas, I was out of town when the pipe burst in the upstairs neighbor apartment damaging my apartment. He kept in complete contact with me to put my mind at ease. If he had not been there those days, weeks and months with all the damage the complex would have came crashing halt. I am now leaving the property due to safety concerns but he has made the stay here the most enjoyable part.

Ryan is absolutely amazing! Due to circumstances beyond my control I needed a place to stay, with immediate move in. Ryan was friendly, helpful and most of all understanding. He took the time to answer all of my questions with a smile, and still does when I go into the office. He is a true gem.

I am living since 10.months
1. My house when I moved in was not clean, needed carpet and duct cleaned.
2. Refrigerator was smelling bad. It took over a month to get correct refrigerator installed. They adjusted partial rent for this.
3. Gym which was damaged due to flooding in December 2022 last year still not operational till date i.e Aug 2023.4. Few gated doors of parking don't open with security code. Some are even rusted near the handle.
5. Building 25 attic stairs kept lowered since last 3 months making it hard to move around there. Reported to office multiple times. Got lifted for few days and again it is the same.
6. In winter of 2022, I suspect there was power theft from my unit when work was going on in attic. I never got this much usage even when I lived in Canada in winter with 24*7 electric heating before moving here. Even previous tenants never had this usage. When I brought this to attention of office, they never denied or gave proper answer. Keep an eye on your electricity when work is going on in building.
7. I lost few packages using direct address. Fetch package option is good but all ecommerce portals don't allow fetch package address.

Pros:
1. Plus point is its location.
2. Great friendly staff, always welcoming.

I have had the absolute worst experience with management at this complex. I have not had A/C in my apartment for nearly 2 months now. It's been 107 outside and 97 degrees in my apartment. I work from home and this place has basically been unliveable. I've put in maintenance request after maintenance request and they will say they're complete when they aren't or they will "fix" the A/C, it'll get down to 76 for a day and then go out again. I've sent probably a dozen emails to management - not a single one was replied to. I've gone into the office to speak to them and they say please send an email to us. Are you kidding me? This is all on top of my fridge not having been working for 4 months and was never replaced, ruining all my food. My car being broken into, and management not doing anything about it even though it was on camera. Toilet leaking for weeks and not being fixed, causing permanent damage to the flooring and wall. The building is so old that the air leaks and my energy bill is through the roof trying to heat or cool, if it even works. The amenities being out of service the entire time I've lived here. And yet, I'm still paying an absolutely absurd amount of money for rent with no type of compensation for the months not being able to live in my own home. I can go on and on with problems I've had in the months I've lived here but that won't matter because not a single issue will be addressed anyway. I'm not sure if the next step is to go to the city level because I cannot get a response from anyone.

I lived here in 2017-2019 when it was 910 Texas street apartments and then Cortland Bryan Place. Live elsewhere. Katey Rush was the manager at the time. She was racist and harassed my mother and I everyday if we were late on rent. I would never recommend these apartments to anyone. Stranger or not.

Hello! My A/C stopped cooling at 11: 30 pm on 6/22 -

After calling the maintenance line 3 times on the morning of 6/23 - a contractor responded and mentioned there are about 20 units without A/C and some have been without for over 2 weeks?

Is this being worked on? Can you provide clarity on this situation?

We are expecting temperatures of over 105 degrees next week and I am concerned for my safety and health.

The temperature in my apartment is over the legal maximum of 81 degrees.

Please advise as soon as possible, thank you!

***A/C HAS NOT BEEN FIXED AS OF 7/24***

Living here was fine, for the location and price I can't complain too much. The issues we did have got resolved. Gym was down most of the time. We decided to move because of changing location needs not because of the apartment. Ryan was a great help with all logistics and other communication and was very fair. I appreciate him and the help he was able to provide from move in to move out. Thank you!

I recently moved in this apartment complex and I have lived here 2 months now I waited to do a review to have a honest report to give. Firstly, Ryan from day one was the most pleasant, fun, knowledgeable and honest guy to work with. He responded to my application questions and hiccups in a timely and professional manner. The staff in the office is nice and helpful. Since I have moved in I have had minor maintenance request and let me just say they come in a timely manner and get things done. I love the complex really quite and in a great area. Although it’s not without flaw I will say the management that I have dealt with have been helpful to me. Thanks Ryan for everything since day one and still today.

Ryan went above and beyond to help me when I went in to resign my lease. He helped me understand my options for resigning and also gave me advice on a potential move to another city (a market he knows very well). I'm so thankful for his help, I went into the office super stressed out but Ryan made us feel much better and gave excellent advice. Thank you so much for being such a godsend during stressful times!

I lived at Gateway for about a year and a half. The manager Ryan was amazing. He was very friendly, helpful and always was happy to answer any questions or concerns I had. I would always see him interacting with other people that lived at Gateway also. He seemed to be very active in the community and empathetic of everyones concerns.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Ryan, the property manager at Gateway East, and I couldn't be more impressed with the exceptional service he provided. In a time of immense stress and uncertainty, Ryan went above and beyond to ensure that my lease renewal process was smooth and hassle-free.

Ryan expertly guided me through my lease renewal options, explaining each one. He even took it a step further by helping us through a potential move my girlfriend is facing. She may need to move to Boston for work and he happened to be an expert in the market. His willingness to go the extra mile and tell us all about Boston truly made a difference in my experience.

His friendly demeanor and genuine concern for my situation greatly alleviated my stress and helped me feel supported during this challenging time. His remarkable professionalism, extensive knowledge, and outstanding customer service made the process of resigning my lease a truly positive experience. If you're seeking a property manager who genuinely cares about their tenants and strives to go above and beyond, look no further than Ryan.

Thank you, Ryan, for providing such a great experience. Your efforts have made a lasting impression on me, and I am grateful for your assistance and support.

Proudly survived 12 months here so here’s my summary. Unfortunately, this list could be easily be doubled.

1. Moved in to find prev tenant’s stuff still there, broken blinds, and dog waste all over the balcony. Took 1 month to fix. No reimbursements or apologies.

2. Took 10 months, dozens of emails, follow ups, phone calls, and office visits to get my garage opener….

3. AC did not function for 8% of my lease term. No reimbursement or apologies.

4. Once there was a billing error of $1600 extra. I wasted 3 days of emails, phone calls, and showing up to the leasing office before it was fixed, and there were zero no apologies or acknowledgement of any mistakes.

5.2023: crime - many cars broken into in the parking garage, one neighbor broke into another neighbors apartment.

6. When I moved in June 2022, windows were stuck 1cm open. Maintenance said they couldn’t/wouldn’t fix. Complained enough and finally Apr 2023 they agreed to fix. Still not resolved, so much electricity bill wasted.
