Only reason I know of this place is because Manny Pacquiao and antonio margaritto stayed here in 2010 during their fight week

Great Service & lots of things to do with the kids. Good food & great atmosphere. Already planning our next stay!

Beautiful hotel. But, over 4th of July weekend we expected the atrium to be celebration/flag themed as usual. Not a flag in sight, not the typical Uncle Sam walking around as in prior years. Big letdown!

Stayed here for the 4th of July because I wanted to do something different. Unfortunately, this experience was the worst one yet. Everything cost money, and it was way over crowded. Check in a 4 to be put on a waitlist for a room, which I did not get until 5. Did not get to the water park until 6, it closed at 8 but they were already shutting down attractions because of “mechanical issues. ” The 4th of July festival was a total joke! The lights were left on, could not hear the music, no food available just snacks, everything was “sold out. ” Paid $10 just to stand and watch fireworks from a far. Planning on staying home next year for sure!

Such a disappointment. Booked a $400 hotel room and was told “no problem, you can see fireworks on site for 4th of July”. Absolute lie. 75% of the hotel guests were awaiting fireworks and you couldn’t even view them from the hotel. We tried 2 restaurants and had to be refunded at one because the food was so cold. Our key card to our room would not work, the air conditioner wouldn’t go lower than 75 degrees, and we booked a single room with 2 beds and received a single room with a king bed. Just don’t go. Save yourself the headache and save your money. There are so many beautiful hotels in the area that are worth the money. Will never stay here again.

Excellent place! I recommend you take your family here and or take a romantic little getaway. The personnel at the spa were my favorite. Amazing and pleasant people! The food at the restaurants in the resort itself are not great but you must try at least one for the full experience! The decorations are breathtaking. Enjoy

Magical for the Holidays! So beautifully decorated. Children and adults alike are left in awe with how gorgeous the grounds are. Parking is not free and the restaurants do not validate (at least not the Mexican one). Inside its temperature controlled so I recommend not dressing too warm because you will get hot. It’s t-shirt weather inside! My children loved it! Santa was on hand for pics and there was cookie decorating available. Love this place! We visit every year!

The ICE Show was way too short for the amount of money spent on the event. Spending $150 for a 15 minute show was not worth it, not going again.

ICE was a great show! Parking was a bit confusing but I should have paid more attention to the signs.

The Gaylord Texan is by far the best and most beautiful place to go for a quite night out or a great dining experience!

Went to the ice sculpture show. The queue was lengthy despite having specific entry times. No one was checking entrance times on the tickets so that might have been cause for the long queue. The ice sculptures themselves were impressive.

The Gaylord is a nice resort and should be for the cost but the service is terrible. We are here for the weekend and have an hour wait for valet. This should have been told to us upon our arrival so we could choose to self park. An hour wait is NOT considered a valet amenity and is not worth $33 a day. Room service is at least a 15 min hold on the phone waiting for someone to answer and an hour until delivery. Cold food was finally delivered. I left my debit card at the restaurant which was turned into security yet I can’t get my card because security is “busy”. I was told to come back later. When I said we are about to head out (for the day) the front desk clerk proceeded to tell me well you don’t check out until tomorrow so it should be fine. What am I supposed to do without a debit card? The concierges desk does NOT pickup the phone. Overall, this is an awful stay for a very hefty price and we still have one more night left here. Insane!

Update: security brings me my card and questions me about why I just leave my debit card laying around and then tries to give me the WRONG persons card. MISTAKES HAPPEN! I tell him that the card he has does not belong to me and he says oh well then I guess we don’t have your card. Which they do and now I have to wait for them to find it again. I am grateful they have my card safe 100%, service is just so so terrible. Won’t be staying here again.

I"m a big Marriott fan & rarely have bad experiences but the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine experience is terrible. The miserable service began at check-in and lasted all the way thru check out. Luckily we stayed only 2 nights because the property was not prepared for a Cheer competition last weekend. Long waits, out of food & beverage, frustrated employees and customers. I never write reviews but the lack of professionalism and courtesy by the short-staffed hotel was unacceptable. I would mark this Marriott off your list to visit.

Well we didn't stay here, but were here for a cheer competition. I did have dealings with a couple of the staff and they were fantastic. My father gave my son a car and we needed the affidavit notarized, on a Sunday of all days. We checked with the FedEx store in the resort and he pointed us to the conseriege desk were we met Mike. Mike was very friendly and willing to help us even though we were not guest. He walked us over and introduces us to Caren who is a notary. Caren was busy and had to deal with an issue with a guest at a room, but assured us she would be back. While we waited were offered coffee and snacks. Caren came back and notarized the document we needed, saving us a big headache and time. Both of these employees could have easily said no to us since we were not guest and we would have understood. If they were willing to help us like this I can only imagine how they treat the guest of the resort. I was very impressed and thank you Caren, Mike, and the Gaylord Resort for having such great staff.

Visually this is an amazing place to stay, with a unique indoor experience filled with restaurants, eateries, shops and things to see. Most of the food is extremely expensive but a good quality service and result is provided.

The service and overall organisation is absolutely horrendous and the biggest let down. It is also a reason I would not return. We spent more time having to sort out wrong rooms, wrong check out dates and wrong admin processes as a result of the resorts poor organisation than we did sit down and relax.

You have two options if driving a car here either valet or self-park. Depending on your preference both a fine.

I went to see the ICE Exhibit and it was great. I had been many years ago and it's changed a lot. The snow tubing and Santa's throw and cookies with Mrs Claus were all new to me. I wanted to go simply for the Ice bar. The drinks were cool. It was smaller than I anticipated. The only 2 caveats I would say is the parking situation, it was a bit confusing because there was another convention or something else going on. And also the staff at the tubing station, they needed another person there since they had a fast pass line. And people were crowding the poor girl.
