Geek Squad reviews
7I had no problems with my scheduled appointment for pick-up. Chad explained everything well.
I couldn't get help this time with loading a new antivirus had to go elsewhere cuz my membership had expired.i had used them about 2 months previous and they were so kind, patient and caring and didn't charge to assist. When i HAD membership i give kudo's too.all the young folks that helped me do various things were so knowledgeable like helping me load songs onto my waterproof ipod thing.trouble with Windows 11.a cracked laptop screen, a blue ray update and more.i love Geek Squad. I'm 63 and not technically inclined.
Was not happy with the angora parkway store. Even though I had an appointment through Verizon and Samsung they told me they wouldn't fix my phone without paying them $100. So I am left with a brand new phone that won't hold a charge and gets super hot.
They listen to you, and if they can fix it, they will and if they can't they will tell you, that's honestly.
Received excellent and timely service.
Note: if someone calls and says they are from Geek Squad and want you to go to your computer because they found suspicious activity. DON'T. IT'S A SCAM! Geek Squad would NOT do that!
HANG. UP. IMMEDIATELY!
The Geek squad should be called the rude squad, because that's what they are, they are as useful and as helpful as a cactus
This past weekend, I went in to have a "deep dive" on two old laptops for photos we couldn't retrieve/find after a hard drive crash. I was told to sign up for a $200 membership that would cover this service.
Within 24hrs they completed the "work" which involved simply moving the visible photos from the files on my laptop to a thumb drive. I could have done this and is not what I asked for. Now I'm out $200 and still have not retrieved the actual lost photos I asked for or confirmation they do not exist anymore.
When explaining my dissatisfaction I received a blank stare and no effort to remedy the situation. I was denied a refund as well. Extremely unhappy, would not recommend.
