I have been with Geico for many years and they have helped me save money over the years. Andrew Mercado has been an exceptional agent in helping me save money with my homeowners insurance and patiently answering all my questions. Although I guess you can say my issue was never resolved, I did appreciate the kindness and support of the Geico agents who helped me along the way.
Khara at the Spring branch was very attentive and patient to listening to my issue and she definitely looked more into it than most people probably would have, which I appreciated. She was professional and prompt in getting a supervisor involved and doing the best she could to help me get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
Had to leave Geico because they took it upon themselves to remove my step sons car without notifying us and insurance for the cars went up.
Ask for Kara if you want great service. Kara is outstanding and she goes the extra miles for customer. Geico should give her a raise or a bonus because Geico is very fortunate to have an employee like Kara
Non thinking people work here. Two different calls to get my homeowner's insurance policy sent to my Mortgage company. EVEN after going by the agency in Spring Tx in person.
The company is NOT a good insurance company no matter what side of the fence you are on. They repeatedly don't take care of the customer. I was with Geico for years and also had to put a claim in against them with another insurance company. They will smile in your face and not take care of you. I went with another insurance company because of this and they continue to try to screw me.

The folks here are helpful. They have a counter where they help you when you come in. You never leave the waiting area with the counter. It is helpful to explain issues that might not be easy to explain over the phone.
Geico is evasive. Geico adjuster Steven comes out to make an estimate (which is real low). But "I forgot my checkbook, and I'll send you a check" he says. I wait for two weeks but the check never comes. I call his phone 832-666-xxxx but he never answers or returns my calls.and still no check. [Time has passed] I call Geico and they give me adjuster Dana's phone number. She is not in so they transfer me to Steven. This time he answers. (Probably b/c I call from a different phone.) He says he'd call me back in 30 minutes. Tick tock. My bet is he won't EVER call back. Humm!
Sadly a bait a switch company when quotes are requested online. When you go to pay for the policy the price changes when you select “make payment” to a much higher price. We have looked at switching multiple times and terribly disappointed in the bait and switch scenario as it has happened multiple times. We looked this past week and same thing happened! Perhaps an issue for the Texas Insurance Commisioner?
I was hit by a Geico driver back in March. To make a long story short, I got all of the drivers information from his member ID number, DL, name, etc. After weeks dealing with Geico, they decided that it was my fault because they could not reach their client and get their side of the story. I’m pretty sure if you cannot reach your clients, that’s your fault, not mine. And I’m pretty sure this is illegal as well. This is unprofessional and beyond ridiculous. I would stay away from this this company and if you get hit by one of their members, make sure you call the police and file report and take plenty of pictures. This company has no problem avoiding the law and not paying for something that they’re responsible for.
Have Geico going on 9 years and would never recommend them to anyone. Never had a claim or accident but insurance premiums continue to rise every 6 months by $60+. Check elsewhere and don’t get caught into their illegal practices of bait and switch
Their customer service team is terrible, and does not care about keeping their clients. My premiums have continuously risen despite the fact that I haven't had any claims! I haven't been in an accident and I don't have speeding tickets. Other companies offer incentives for safe drivers, but not Geico! They just raise your rates, and blame it on some stupid excuse.
My biggest frustration with Geico is based on my recent rental car fiasco. I evacuated from Hurricane Harvey to Dallas, and then had to fly from Dallas to Florida for a job interview. The airline company was wonderful & switched my flights/rental car for free. The car rental place however would NOT ACCEPT my GEICO INSURANCE. I had to pay an additional $186 for 3 days of rental insurance or else I couldn't rent a car that I had already paid for 4 days of travel for. The woman gave me a list of other car insurance companies that they accept. When I called GEICO customer service to explain the problem she was rude & just transferred me to the cancellation department. I certainly won't be staying with Geico after this, and will be warning whoever I can to switch/not get Geico.
