Everything was a little more expensive here with the dealer but this was the only place to get the service completed correctly, and the wait time was so long! Otherwise everything was great!

Less than 1 star. We bought a vehicle in April with a salesman from a different dealership, we are now well into September and still do not have license plates for our vehicle. This is starting to seem like a Reagor Dikes scenario where you never own the vehicle. Many calls, texts, emails we still have no answer

Terrible customer service, we were approved for a car there and could not get anyone from the salesman (Nate) to manager (Mike Murphy) to actually do their job. Took over a week of us doing all of the leg work and finding the vehicles ourselves even after approved for financing) Numerous times tried to sell a car and then nobody knew where it was. Not one person on that lot had a clue what was going on nor did they seem interested to even make a sale. I’m actually unsure how this place even keeps their doors open at this point. They offer all gene messer vehicles on websites and are to lazy to go across town and pick up the vehicle from another gene messer dealer. Worst car buying experience ever hands down. We eventually took our business to Chris Ramos at Star dodge in Abilene and he worked the deal got us in a vehicle within hours. Highly recommend them.

Always great service. I am never concerned about taking my car is for service or evaluation. Have to say that Andrew innthe service are takes it a step further. He makes me feel like a friend and does things to show that he truly cares about us and that we are always being looked out for. Timely updates, honest assessments, and going the extra mile to make sure his department has done everything they can to make my situation better. Great Job!

We purchased a 2018 Ford Expedition Limited with around 50k for a fair price. However, after owning it for a while, it was clear we got a lemon. We had to replace all four tires within two months months, despite no evidence of poor tire tread. Basically, 3 out of the 4 had an air bulge and had to be replaced. We took it to my mechanic, and he discovered tons of unreported damage in the front of the vehicle. (The last owner had wrecked the front of the vehicle, slapped on a new bumper, and left the damaged parts for the next unfortunate owner.) I had to replace the AC, the car now makes a funny sound on startup and the suspension is requiring a costly repair. This car was supposed to be a reliable family wagon and has been an absolute disaster.

While I recognize a dealership could argue they wouldn't have known about the damage if someone paid cash out of pocket and did not pursue repairs via insurance, our experience with this used vehicle was not pleasant. This car has been a money pit and I will not purchase another vehicle, used or otherwise, from Gene Messer Volkswagen.

My salesman Nate was very knowledgeable and was able to answer the questions that I had. Same with the finance manager! It was a super easy process.

We bought our jeep April 3rd.still not registered to us, do not have plates. (stated have to get a duplicatetitle). If you do not have a title dont put a vehicle for sale.going on 3rd dealer tag fixing to be 4th Oct 1st.sales person Bailey does not check in.we didn't even get a call to see if we were happy with our purchase. Will not ever use this dealership again!

The sales experience was
very good and smooth.however the make ready for the new vehicle was extremely poor! The detail team just did a quick wash of the outside and did not do a good job.
They did nothing to the interior. Being a demo unit
there was something splattered all over the console
and roof, plus pet hair in rear
cargo area. I called the salesman and asked if the interior should have been cleaned and yes it should have. I told
him it was not. He did not offer to have this problem taken care of. All he asked was if I had any other questions. So I am very disappointed in this part of the sale.

The staff and managers of Gene Messer VW were exempliary…everyone was genuine in making sure our family’s new vehicle purchase was flawless…vs the other guys that took days to respond about our inventory availability questions…1 week out and we are enjoying our new Taos ; their staff is still doing the endless empty marketing ploys vs straight answers and very fair pricing…. Kudos to mike and the crew…. We are happy Gene Messer Vw customers….

Took eight days to repair my vehicle July 19-26. Spent seven days in two different hotels. Delays in getting parts. Dealership stated that they would pay for one night of hotel stays. As of 4 August, how I have not been reimbursed.

From the first phone call requesting help with buying a car I was immediately put in touch with Kyle, he not only answered all my questions, he was diligent with all information, answered the phone EVERY time I called and did so with warmth, never not once acted like I was inconveniencing him (and I called A LOT!) constantly put my mind at ease, did not make me feel like I had to make any decisions otherwise I would miss this sale (something I encountered multiple times with other car dealerships) and was phenomenal at communicating with me about the arrival of my new vehicle. And last but not least made the signing of the documents very seamless, I was in and out quickly, had my vehicle prepped and ready to go with a huge bow on the roof of the car and honestly made me feel like I was the best customer he has ever had. He is nothing short of AMAZING. Also have to brag on the gentleman who helped me in financing when I brought my down payment in, he was great as well. Quick and thorough. To say I am pleased is an understatement! No improvements needed:)

Gene Messer has exceeded my expectations on all aspects of our purchase. We worked with Kyle Hind on our recent and previous purchases with dealership. Kyle told me at the onset of our conversations that he sought to exceed our expectations and he followed through. I was impressed with his knowledge, prompt responses, and helpfulness in our purchase. He took us at our word as we progressed through the deal by providing us opportunities to discuss financial options before committing to a purchase and taking time to consider all factors. Kyle went as far to pick us up from the airport when we flew in from Dallas, TX to finalize our purchase deal. With every step along the way, Kyle represented the best of Gene Messer and Volkswagen. I appreciate hearing from Tyler Mitchell, the General Manager, and appreciated his willingness to answer our questions throughout the purchase. I feel confident that I will look to Kyle and Gene Messer for my next Volkswagen purchase based on the service we received. It was truly first class.

One suggestion: having direct lines to Sales Specialists and Managers would be helpful in the future. The dial system for the dealership's phone line did not always work correctly and did not always route me to Kyle or Derek, the Finance Manager, when needed. Providing direct extensions for the staff would be helpful.

My experience without salesman Don was fantastic. The process was fast and painless. We were in and out within about an hour with our own financing from our bank. Derrick in finance was also quick and explained everything. I was completely satisfied and walked away with my new Taos in under an hour.
