Gentle Zoo, Forney TX

A wonderful experience! Kind and knowledgeable employees. Lots of fun for the kiddos that is local to us. We went in with low expectations and came out pleasantly surprised. Give it a try.

We have been going here for years and their pumpkin patch is the perfect fall activity to go with the excitement of the petting zoo.

I came out to the zoo yesterday and had an amazing time with my kids we loved all the animals. Michelle was super sweet and she’s very knowledgeable about the Animals. My kids especially loved the jumping pillow and we were so excited to get to see all the animals and get out of the house. Michelle was super sweet. I will definitely be coming back again it was so much fun!

My kiddos and niece went with me today to this wonderful petting zoo. There was quite a few animals and they were friendly and very much entertaining. Although it was hot it is summer time so that is to be expected. So, if you are needing to cool down they also have a inside sit-down area with a gift shop. Also, they have snacks and drinks as well as animals on the inside too. This place is so cool you can also volunteer which is amazing and a really good opportunity for you to bond with the animals. Also, they need some staff as well as volunteers that are very dedicated in helping out these animals. As well as keeping the property afloat. So spread the word if you could about this wonderful, unique place. They are a non-profit organization and could always use your support, they run on donations so anything can help. The owner Michelle and her daughter Alexis are such wonderful people. We would all love for you guys to come visit, so tell your friends, family and just spread the word, More people need to know about this organization. Another thing I forgot to mention is, as well as being a petting zoo there is also a play area for your children. Very fun and entertaining your kids are going to love it, there is a sandbox, a playground, a jumping pad and there's also a train ride. Another thing is everything is affordable, it's not expensive so there's enough for all of you guys. And if you're a family of 6 or even 10, you will get your money's worth here. Again I 100% guarantee me you guys will have a blast again come join them spread the word. Thank you guys so much and I hope to see you guys very soon again.

Please take the opportunity to visit The Gentle Zoo. Your little ones will love petting and feeding the animals. There are other activities to find here as well. They have a game and party room you can rent also.

Too expensive, too hot. Website said they had things like a boa constrictor but wasn’t there, was told they rehomed him. Maybe take the animals you’ve rehomed off your ads? Felt like I was in a backyard zoo instead of a sanctuary. Saw they posted this picture on Facebook and that is definitely not safe for the poor turtle. Needs better management for the people and the animals and maybe this place would be worth visiting

This is an absolutely amazing little zoo! Such a great place to take kids or family. The staff are so sweet and truly amazing! Could not have asked for a better experience at our small town zoo. Highly recommend!

We had a great time and learned some new things. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We will be coming back again and will bring family with us when they visit.

What a great little hidden gem in Kaufman County. My family and I have been going to this place for years. Always a great hit with the little kids and of course the adults. Great place for birthday parties. They have a great selection of animals and the grounds are kept nice and clean. Go visit this place if you haven't.

I have been visiting the zoo for many years. I have watched it grow and change. I love the people family orientated. It's amazing to watch the gigantic turtles beautiful peacocks walking across the zoo! My favorite is watching the capybara and kangaroo

Basically went to see a hand full of random animals out in the heat with no shade while teenage workers awkwardly help save customers from the woman mean mugging people and following them around. One of them even shyly apologized and said sorry that’s their boss. Does this place even know how to treat paying customers? Save your money for the zoo. They don’t even have the animals they post about on Facebook like crazy. False advertising

Not great place for toddlers, 3not sure what the other reviews are on about! No shade outside and so hot! The stuff inside is really boring and nothing inside feels like they have enough space. Last time we went there was also a sheep with a huge infection on it. We have been a few times because my kid is obsessed with chickens and it was close but I think we’ll find an alternative after finding out they declawed both of their coatimundis and defanged one of them. Thought this place was supposed to be a rescue? Not harming animals. Feel very misled on the nature of this place. Even the employees seem unhappy to be there don’t waste your money

I love this gentle zoo! I’ve been there a few times and sent many friends who also had a great time. Hopefully this place is around forever so I can take my grandkids one day, when I get some:)

They are a non-profit and our visit was very educational for the kiddos. They do alot for not only the animals but the community as well.

We have been several times. We love feeding the animals and learning about them. Our friends had a birthday party here that we attended and it was wonderful! Love this zoo!

It’s a small but intimate interaction. Perfect for a quick get away and a close up encounter. The kids always enjoy their time here and the price is very fair for as many animals as they support.
