Gentlemens Republic Barbersalon, El Paso TX

I just had my beard professionally trimmed for the first time since the Pandemic started. I had a great experience and felt very safe the whole time. This was my first time visiting Gentlemen's Republic as I am new to the area. I will return for further beard cuts.

Ask for Marielena. She is obviously a pro from the quality of my lineup and fade. When I go for a haircut, I like to know that the barber possesses a knowledge of hair far beyond mine, and, in this case, it would be true. She’s new there, but don’t fret. If you’re assigned to her for a cut, you will be in good hands. She understands both English and Spanish, so use both.

The guy who cut my hair was probably under the influence of something. Cut me and tried to hide it. Sent me out with some white paste on my head. Was slurring his words and kept dropping things.

I’ve been coming here for 4-5 months now and every time I come they do an amazing job. Chris does an amazing job he is by far the best barber I have ever had and is definitely a master of his craft. I never leave Gentlemen’s Republic less than completely satisfied.

I’m so glad I found this place. GR is very professional, the owner & her staff are awesome, and the treatment is second to none. Oh, and the red beer they serve is by far the best I’ve ever had. Love this place!

Tracy is amazing! She gave me my civilian makeover after 9 years of active-duty service. On the 4th of July! The best barbershop in town — go check them out, they’ll make your day!

This was by far the best barbershop experience I have had in a long time. The facility was clean and the setting was perfect. From the music to the seating area everything was great. The shave itself was done perfectly and the ladies were very professional and courteous. Tracy was amazing and I will definitely recommend this to all of my friends.

The service is top notch and unique. Flor and Rebecca did an amazing job to relax me and make me feel at home. I live in DC area and wish Incould have the services that are here in El Paso, TX. I will be sure to come back and make an appointment. Completely worth the cost which is pleasantly priced. Amazing. Will refer and will come here when I am in town.

First time in an establishment like this they truly know how to take care of you I had a great first experience and would recommend every one to stop by and try it. I will definitely be coming back!

Avoid. This place is all hype.
Zero attention to detail on the cut, the place is dirty and poorly managed; the barber complained openly that they sprung my appointment on her.
Not worth the price.
You can get the same low quality at any Family cuts joint with the benefit of not having to go to a real barber the next day to get the train-wreck fixed like I’m going to have to do.

So this place was probably trying to look cool and hipster when it opened. It did a good job, but seems to be dirty now.hair all over the place, yes I get it hair cut place.but u can tell that it dose not get cleaned. Hair cut was just literally just ok and dose not reflect the cost at all.

We had a great experience at Gentlemans Republic with groomsman party we came in for haircuts, shaves and beardtrims and left extremely please with the attention to detail and care from the staff. I would highly recommend Gentlemans Republic to everyone.

Outstanding barber shop. I have been getting my haircut by Claudia for months now. I do not speak Spanish and she does not speak English, but the important thing is that she speaks hair! Truly the best haircuts I have ever had. I am devastated to move from El Paso because I will not have a chance to go to Gentlemen's Republic anymore. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a top notch haircut. (and of course people speak English/Spanish as well!).

The staff is very welcoming when you walk into the door and with the complimentary drink makes it that 1st class establishment. Every stylist is great at what they do and the services they offer are out of this world.
I would not go to another location to get my haircut. I would absolutely recommend Gentlemen's Republic Barbersalon to anyone I know.

I purchased a massage giftcard (GR SIGNATURE RELAXATION MASSAGE) for my boyfriend Christmas 2017. He just used it today in the downtown location. He had called day before to make a reservation. Upon arriving he was told his appointment was not scheduled there, but it was at the location by Utep. He had clearly confirmed location day before. They were not prepared. The massage was not 60 minutes long like I had purchased. I expected a lot, disappointed will not be using services there again.

I've been getting my hair done here for the last 8 months. The service is always great, and the complimentary drinks are a plus. I generally can't complain about the hair cuts either. I do have two issues though. 1) $33 for a haircut is expensive, and 2) there has been a high turnover of staff (I've seen 5 different stylists). To put this in perspective, I saw the same barber in Manhattan for the last 3 years at $17 per cut. I can guarantee that his overhead was more than Gentlemen's Republic, and he usually had beer in the fridge too.
