Before you book a ticket with a stopover of 2 hours, take in consideration that traveling via this airport will be everything but nice. They don't have enough personnel working at customs and therefore we nearly missed our connecting flight. The gate was already closed and thanks to the friendly staff of United Airlines we managed to get onto the plane, with just a little air left in our lungs. Transitting via this airport really was exhausting and stressful. And the personnel that does work are far from customer friendly. They really don't care if you will catch your flight or not. So, if you have the choice I would highly recommend to avoid this airport. Not a good vibe at all!

A horrible experience at IAH. No proper directions on parking or traffic management. A year back had a similar experience. Not sure how is this airport receiving an award year after year. Make you question if the award has any value

Travel from Chicago to Houston and landed at the George Bush Intercontinental airport. Put me in the mind more of a mall then a airport. I guess coming from O'Hare which is massive but it was nice and clean and the people were friendly, so it was good.

It's a huge airport but I like how they have they have a lot of signs around to kind of guide you however you really still have to ask somebody for help it's a very large airport. If you can arrive early and even leave early that's much better because you're going to be waiting in a very long line

I would consider this airport average. Security checkin was fine. I checked in around 9am on a Thursday and I maybe had to wait five minutes. So that was fine. Not sure I would want to experience when it is busy though. The airport in general seems dated. At least Terminal A. The restrooms are old, small, hard to navigate with large crowds and people with luggage. Overall I was glad to be departing Houston and excited to get to MSP, which I consider to be the number one airport in the nation!

Excellent airport, we used domestic gates on arrival and on departure which is arranged to be for Alaska airlines. They’re well organized. Luggage claim area was clean and close to exit doors. Passenger pick up area is divided into 4 lanes which accelerated the pickup process without any traffic.

Give yourself plenty of time. With the closing of the E terminal coupled with the construction it is very difficult to get in and out the airport. Ideally if you don’t have to check a bag, don’t. Many times you will arrive in one terminal and your baggage will end up in a completely different terminal. Nothing is easy at this juncture with regards to the terminal Jose are trying to get people to as efficiently as possible.

Not such a bad airport. Lots of construction and detours but once you get the hang of it it's like a walk in the park. The security area where TSA does there part for your safety needs to clean the floor more often since everyone has to take their shoes off. Besides wearing a mask to prevent exposure what are you exposing your feet to since floor isn't clean quite frequently.

Wow this airport is chaotic and disorganized, staff are nice though. 30 IPads glued to every table is way overkill, can't even talk to my family across from me without seeing a million ads out of the corner of my eyes.

Took 45 min inside the terminal to get to the passenger pick up curbside. The airport security are useless. You should learn from the San Diego Airport traffic security. They are well organized and we'll trained to handle traffic even when construction is happening.

There was practically no help available when my bag and nearly had a panic attack. It took me atleast 45mins to finally get some and find my bag which was in a far away corner of baggage claim that I couldn't unless someone gave me directions. There are no signs leading to where baggage services.

There were no, and I repeat no, benches at any of the gates. All of the space was used for retail and restaurants, while people waiting for their flights had to sit on the floor against the wall by the bathrooms. I've never seen an airport like this and I have been in over 50 around the world. It was obviously designed as a giant shopping mall for rich people, with little care for functionality or middle-class travelers. A pathetically crass money grab. I hope I'm never routed through here again.

American airlines needs to work on their customer service, disappointing! We were passed over in favor of another customer with similar ethnicity, not once, but twice while trying to check-in and drop bags. Our bags did not even get scanned, thankfully the people in the back must have done their job fairly, because we did, ultimately, get our luggage at our destination.

We spent 20 minutes with 6 bags walking from terminal A to terminal C in the subway after midnight. Why would anyone do that? Well, apparently the subway stops running from 12am to 3am everyday but we were not informed, bad move IAH, not cool.

Due to current construction work we were instructed to arrive 3 hours early if using a parking place or rental car. That went pretty smoothly but the airport needs to figure out how to continue operation while working on the construction, what a pain!

Don't think we'll be flying for a while after that ordeal! If it weren't for the kind shuttle bus driver, I would have been in tears.thank you Spot2 driver, God bless you.

Staff is zero help and they book connections for customers that have no chance of making it to their connecting flights due to having only 1 or 2 employees actually working in the area during regular business hours!

This airport is the worst I've ever been in! Arrivals and departures are in thr same area, so trying to get picked up is a cluster. Not to mention there is no clear signage anywhere on how to get OUT of the airport!

I flew in from Mumbai via Dubai to Houston. When the flight landed we disembarked and started walking to wards immigration. The staff was polite and guided us. After immigration I checked my belt number where my bags would arrive on the indicator. Then I picked up my bags from the belt and headed to customs. Previously you had to fill out a card for customs but now that system is discontinued. So I walked to the customs and out from the channel. There I met the person who had come to pick me up and headed to Beaumont. In all it was a good experience.
