GiAu Bar n Bites, Houston TX

Terrible experience. Waited about 5-10 mins to finally get noticed and seated to which many servers just walked by and didn’t talk to us. After seating, we waited over 25 mins for our server to come, which they never did, not even to bring us water. We walked out after we noticed the carelessness of our server just chit chatting away with other servers for several minutes while they weren’t busy on the floor, standing behind the bar and touching their phone, and only serving other tables with bigger parties.

A friend bought me here for the first time. I had a lot of fun. The staff are excellent, food is good and atmosphere are very welcoming and chill. Definitely would come back again one day

We had slow service and the waitress Denise had poor etiquette. When we stepped in she said “can I help you? ” In a rude manner. My group and I will not visit again.

Awesome staff. This got to be my favorite place to go to. Great music. The environment is perfect for socialize.

The food is very good but we will never come back cause of the waitress (big lady) who was very rude. I bet the restaurant would lost a lot of customer cause of her.

Their Bah Mi is the freaking best! Do not come here on Saturday night because you will not find a seat or an employee. Come on a Sunday night when there is hardly any people. And try not to go with a big group because one person will be stuck with paying the bill because they cannot split the bill multiple ways.

GiAu BaR is my favorite spot in Chinatown. Price is worth it! Great environment for big parties or just a couple. Yes the music is loud and it is dark inside however we like it that way. Appetizers were avocado tower and grilled charred clams entree Hotpot. Drinks are very good. Sunset and cold beer. Shooters the gummybears are dangerous. This place off the chain

SOOO GOOD! My husband and I stumbled across this place during a night out & we were blown away! Everything we ordered from food to drinks were absolutely perfect. To eat we had the lemon pepper wings, edamame with spicy garlic soy, avocado bomb, and mini egg rolls. My husband said the best egg rolls he’s ever had & I honestly can’t disagree. For drinks we had a the bubbly drink, the strawberry popper drink, the spicy cucumber drink & the big watermelon drink! Can’t remember exact names on the drinks but every one was delicious. Especially the watermelon one that legit came out in half a watermelon! Also had 2 pretty in pink shots before we headed out! Service was great as well! Very helpful & sweet. We looking forward to our next visit!

Good drinks. Great drinks, actually. Service was medium, though. Granted they were likely short-staffed in the face of a large party, as a waiter I was not impressed with the with the waitstaff. Cute but robotic at best.

Dude their banh mi was delicious! The alcohol is plentiful as well

I just came for food.and its impressively good. We ordered chicken feet, basil class, tuna rose, BBQ spring rolls, and snails coconut.and ALL of them were good. I will be back!

Crawfish here is amazing, you can tell they source high quality crawfish! Amazing flavor with just the right amount of Kick!

Liked the overall vibe. Good music too if you enjoy hip hop. Food was okay. Solid variety of eats for various taste buds. Good hangout spot.

A great experience in this late night drinking spot. Fittingly, they serve shareable drinking foods. All chocked full of flavor and all the foods go very well with whatever spirit of choice. A tip at this spot, it’s often times more cost effective to buy the entire bottle of liquor vs.buying an individual drink, if you’re group is going to be drinking.

Never been before. Went cuz my buddy was raving about their wings (not on the menu). They were supposed to be lemon pepper but all I could taste was garlic.liked them though. Cool crowd, cool music selection, crowded parking lot for a Sunday night.

First time trying this place and already decided we’re definitely coming back! First off, as far as drinks go, their watermelon soju was so impressive that even me, as someone that can’t stand most fruity mixed drinks, will admit that it is hands down the best fruity drink I’ve ever tried in my life. Also, it’s huge. And it looks awesome. The bartenders are really friendly and helpful and service was amazing. Food looked terrific as well although we haven’t tried it yet, we look forward to and plan on coming back to order food because the menu looked amazing. The environment is very chill and calm, it’s a nice sit-down restaurant and bar where you can come and truly relax with some friends or a date. The interior is very nice and pretty as well. The kitchen is open until pretty late, roughly 1: 20am tonight I believe which is really genuinely impressive considering the area we’re from most bar’s kitchen close around 10pm. However, our area of west Texas is a relatively plain and unexciting dump, so needless to say arriving at this place was SUPER exciting for us. It was such a new experience and the staff and service really participated in making this experience phenomenal. We are looking forward to coming back and we highly recommend this place

Update:
We came back a second time for food. The crawfish was quite good, I do wish there was some more flavor to the spicy option but no complaint either. We had a really hard time getting the sea snails out of the shell, so I think the holes weren’t cut big enough? Anyways, the staff took care of us immediately and made sure we were good. So no complaints there. Overall, I love this bar and restaurant still and will have to highly recommend.

Finally found a place with unique food. Scores 10/10. Highly satisfied and impressed with my balut.

Hot pot is overpriced, and that's saying something when HaiDiLao is next door. Banh bot chien was crispier and tasty compared to Tan Tan. Everything was very sharable but priced relatively high for vietnamese food.

The absolute worst service if you are not in a group. The waiters hang out with the large tables and take shots with their patrons. Food takes over 50 mins to get, if they actually put in the order. We have tried multiple times to see if we can get good service, always fails. The food is good, but terrible terrible service.
