Gilmer Civic Center

First time here and they did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly and actually most of the people we were extremely friendly which in these times is a very uncommon trait. We came here for the gun show and from the get go it was a great show. Even in this Texas heat the building stayed crisp and cool. The layout was great and the flow of traffic was handled with extreme precision. The security guards were ever present and that definitely helped when it comes to safety. The other vendors were quite friendly as well and we all made sure to send people each other’s way if we didn’t have what they were looking for. The best service that I’ve never seen at any other show was a cart service where they came and took your food and drink order and brought it back to your table. While this may not seem like a big deal to most it saved us valuable time at our tables. When you aren’t manning your table you risk missing out on sales. Thanks to them this did not happen and we are all very grateful for that and that wonderful brisket! We will gladly be back for more shows and events. I would also like to thank American Legion Post 320 for hosting the event. They were beyond kind and helpful, as a veteran myself it was wonderful to see them do roving watch and providing security. People will usually think twice about acting up when they see a smiling veteran in a security shirt. If you have the chance to have an event here I would highly recommend try this place out.

Went to vote. Not many people when I was there and well planned and organized. Maybe I got lucky and picked a good time to go. Walked right in when I arrived but noticed a significant increase of folks in line outside as I was leaving.
