We love having our sushi dates here. Best spot that we've been to in the Houston area for sushi. Fast friendly service and great prices. We've tried all the different Maki rolls, and we love em.
Top tier, 10 out of 10 would Ginger again. Sushi is always fresh, and staff is very is attentive.
The Japanese word for fireside cooking is Robata, but I came for the raw fish. 10 out of 10, recommend the goldfish, which isn’t on the menu but can be requested.
Incredible food, terrific atmosphere, and amazing service! We got shaggy dog and tried the Louisiana sushi roll, we think we found our new favorite roll and our new favorite sushi spot.
Sunday afternoon lunchtime. Second time here. Food is very fresh and preparation is great. Very good assortment on the menu. I like that it's fairly quiet and the servers very attentive and courteous. But for me with sushi, the freshness of the food and not having that pungent "fishy" smell is most appealing. Highly recommend!

This is my review for today. I love the food here and when there is service it’s pretty good.
Today I visited Ginger 20 min before their posted close time, of 10pm on a Saturday, to place an order to go. They refused me stating the kitchen was already closed. I worked this industry for over a decade and even I feel like closing the kitchen that soon before closing hours is too much.
You get a 1 star review today because you have failed to stick to you posted hours and failed to provide customer service which is the most basic principle of your existence.
I will be coming back cuz your food is bomb.
We frequent this cozy spot for sushi, miso soup, poke bowls, edamame and more. Excellent service, consistent as well since we discovered Ginger Cafe in 2016. The restaurant industry is a very challenging business so to be able to remain open and provide food and services that are consistent is in itself and art and highly acquired skill. When we want comfort food, good energy and don’t want to waste our money on bad food- we go here!
THe food is amazing and Abbey is my favorite server. Jason, the Sushi Chef is awesome. Spenser, Nathan and Justin are great, but if you get Donna, she is very snobby. She treats you like she is better than you. I don't like to go if she is there.
The food wasn’t very good besides the sushi, everything was bland or tasted bad. I sent back the octopus appitizer because it was chewy and lacking in the taste department. We were still charged for it. The soups was downright horrible. Won’t be returning, only positive was that the servers were super sweet.
Went in at 9: 15pm and was told it was closed when they clearly close at 9: 30pm. Sign and door was still open.
Food is good. Service really needs work.
I would suggest going to the original location in Atascocita. We have been going there since it was half a nail salon. Better sushi and amazing service.
These ladies have no idea what they’re doing. My list of complaints: I got the wrong sized lunch, the soy sauce bottle leaked all over me and I asked them for a new one - they brought me broken one back and said, “here are some extra napkins” I was over charged for the wrong size and given cash back (not covering the over charge). They are young, inexperienced, and need a manager and some training.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Everything we ate or drank was delicious and the sushi chef listened to which foods we were talking about then made recommendations that were amazing! We will definitely be returning!
