Very poor experience and small portions of poor quality food. $15 for four small soup dumplings (about four dollars each!), and they weren’t very good. We ordered many dishes, all of which were overpriced, came in small portions, and tasted only decent at best. Many other Chinese restaurants in Houston taste much better and are much more fairly priced.

A few things are frustrating.the two "$$" needs to be changed to "$$$$" on Google and Apple Maps. VERY expensive Chinese food. Most items are mid $30s and they are single portions (not family style). I mean come on.two entrées, one appetizer, and only water to drink and the bill is over $100 after tip. Its Chinese food.not a steak house. We didn't really walk away understanding the hype. The dishes are really nothing other than renamed typical Chinese restaurant dishes. They have strange stand up menus that sit right in front of your face on either sides of the tables that are what look to be Covid-era barriers they have multi-purposed to be menus. They are very claustrophobic and need to go! Both my wife and I were served very salty food. I couldn't finish my entre. The white rice was the best part. The owner was drinking not one, but two different alcoholic drinks at her stand. Super tacky. I get it.they're going for a vibe. It's just not for us. The service is all they really have to brag about. From the owners to the servers, everyone is hospitable and courteous. Suggestions- lower your prices, change the menu format, and do quality checks on the food. There are many other "less expensive but just as nice" Chinese restaurants in the area. I'd visit those places next before going back.

I am updating this review…. I used to love absolutely love Ginger & Fork! But for what ever reason 2 out of the last 3 times that I’ve gone there they have exposed me to eggs. Even though I explained to them I have an allergy to eggs when I order. I have an autoimmune condition. It makes me feel like they don’t listen and don’t care. I’m just disappointed and frustrated. It sucks that I can’t eat my favorite noodles because I can’t trust the staff.

Amazing food, especially the Bells and Cattle and Curry Noodles and extremely friendly staff and owners that made our birthday celebration really special!

The owner of this restaurant met me and my kids at the door to tell us that we had 90 minutes to finish our meal. It was my daughters 14th birthday and she loves their dumplings and requested this restaurant. I was immediately taken aback. Now, full disclosure, our reservation was for 6 pm and we were 10 minutes late and my In Laws were a few minutes behind us. That being said, the owner met me and my kids at the door and informed us that our table would be needed at 7: 30. I have never been met at the door by a restaurant owner informing me of when I needed to be finished with my meal. This is rude and tacky. This establishment will NEVER get my business again and I will fervently admonish any friends or family for ever patronizing this establishment again.

Modern Twist On Authentic Chinese. This was my first time as this Chinese bistro. I really liked it a lot. It’s an intimate setting with a very attentive staff. We ordered a number of things including their specialty cocktail made to celebrate Lunar New Year 2023, the year of the rabbit. Our menu sampler included: Fried Cauliflower, Cha Siu Strips (Succulent Strips Of Cantonese Barbecue Pork), Soup Dumplings, HK Pineapple Chicken, Steamed Garlic Shrimp, a Ginger Margarita, and their specialty cocktail celebrating the Lunar New Year, Gong Hay Fat Choi (Date-infused Four Roses Bourbon, Lemon, Cane 24k Gold Flakes). For dessert we had the Asian Pear Bread Pudding, The Coconut Jelly, and the Gold Rush Custard Bao. I thought everything was great and I look forward to going back in warmer months when the outdoor patio is open.

Amazing! Best Chinese we have ever had! Great service, drinks and food! Top notch! The friendly staff are very accommodating to dietary restrictions. No problem finding lots of very tasty options for gluten free/dairy free diet

I was very impressed how delicious and fresh everything tasted. It is a little more than your average asian restaurant but the food is top notch and the customer service is excellent. This restaurant is now one of go to when I want a special experience.

The staff was really friendly, and the drinks were delicious however the food was outrageously expensive and below average. I had garlic shrimp which essentially was steamed shrimp with a spoonful of pre-minced garlic tossed around. Tasted like garlic from a jar.

The food and drink were great. We had a great bartender also. There were just these drunk ash holes at the bar who kept screaming at the game. Hard to have a nice dinner with screaming.
Prices were also a lot for a very small portion.

Decent food, but waitstaff was a bit pushy.they ditched some traditional names (ie moo goo gai pan = garden chicken) which goes to show the lack of authenticity. As someone who grew up eating Cantonese food, I would recommend you skip and go to Bellaire. You’ll find far better food at a far better price

This is our favorite restaurant in Houston. Perfect atmosphere, best soup dumplings, fried rice and pretty much any dish you order won't disappoint. Mary, the owner, knows us by name and always comes by and visits. We feel like we're her favorite customers but she makes everyone feel that way.

We celebrated a dear friends birthday at Ginger & Fork and we had an amazing time. The food was very fresh and delicious. The drinks were crisp and yummy. Tammy went out of her way to ensure we had the best experience.
I highly recommend this restaurant you can’t go wrong!
