Golden Chick, Corpus Christi TX

Our first vist. The food was good. My daughter pointed out a large dead roach under the table, otherwise it was pretty clean. The bathrooms were a little subpar. The food was definitely the best part and our reason for stopping.

I had the chicken tender salad. The chicken was good, but the salad was terrible. Mostly white lettuce with a little cheese, a little shredded carrots, and a piece of broccoli. I would have been okay with that, but the ranch dressing they offered was AWFUL. It just tasted like mayonnaise. 100% mayo. It was so awful that I just ate the chicken. The staff at this location were wonderful. Also, there's free ice cream and cones. The cones were lying flat on the counter, and it took me 5 mins to get 1/3 of the cones filled up. Do better.

Great food, but check your order before u leave. They tend to forget to put rolls or gravy. It's happened the last 3xs to my order.

Food is always good and the staff friendly but they ALWAYS forget part of the order. We don't live close so it's not like we can drive back to get missing items

Poor service. The cashier was obviously overwhelmed with trying to remember my order. I waited in line for nearly 15 minutes, and still got my order wrong. I will tell all the contacts I know, to never go to this restaurant!

Last night went in dine in fresh and fast even though they were swamped on top of that they had a rude customer cursing management I've never seen a manager handle a situation with much poise shot out to the employees keeping calm while being yelled at as well

What I did not like and if they do it the next time I go I will ask them to stop doing it; is what, they start cleaning the tables that are vacated with a very strong spray while one is eating. Please don't.

Best chicken sandwich I've ever had and the sweet tea was perfectly made with crushed ice. Highly recommend going there in Corpus Christi. This was before I worked here and new what I was getting into. Yes the tea is good and made fresh everyday.

Update 7/2023- Owner is shady and doesn't keep his word. He hired me and paid me $4 less than what we agreed upon. What a disappointment, he doesn't fix the fryers they're are 4 but only 2 work. 1 has old grease and food in it from over 3 weeks and the place is super dirty, under the fryers and in the cooler and freezers. Very disorganized and cheap. I wouldn't have come here if I'd known what type of person. He was and how he runs his store.
Do not recommend to eat here.

The people that work there are cool.
By the way I'm not a disgruntled employee I gladly quit Sunday. I didn't relocate 2 and a half hours for charity and to be cheated by a crook Golden Chick owner.

One of the rudest places I’ve ever placed an order from. The girl taking orders needs to get a new job. She cut me off every time before I could finish my sentence. Also, I ordered the 8tender combo only to get 6 HARD/dry strips! I now know why I don’t ever eat here. Never again.

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The food was hot, fast, fresh, and delicious. They were also very considerate of children.

Haven’t been in awhile, but it looks like they updated the inside! Very clean, neat, and great staff. Got there on the back end of the lunch rush. Food was fresh, fast, and good. Definitely one of the best Golden Chick locations I’ve been to. Manager was very nice, and let us try a couple things we hadn’t tried before.

Excellent customer service from Henry and staff. Showed gratitude to first responders. Craving satisfied with hot fresh food!

The food is great! But whoever it is that greets you at front counter acts like customers are such an inconvenience. I will never eat here again.

On 5/19/23 we went thru drive-thru, Cynthia took our order, she was extremely rude but we continued to order - we ordered a family meal and specifically said we wanted all fried, mashed potatoes, fries and fam rice.
Upon coming to the window we were greeted rudely, received our food & left. Upon getting home our order was not correct We received half baked/half fried, no mashed potatoes, no fries
I called & spoke with Samantha (the mgr) she gave me two options - to return the same day or at a future date. Which i chose future date (5/23/23) I arrive and Caro (mgr) says that isn’t their policy to do that. (Cindy was also working and said robert had already picked up) which he had not. Caro called Samantha to verify and Sam said it was only the chicken which is not what she told me. I left without food. If that isn’t your policy your employees need a policy check, I would not have wasted my time and gas to hear that your word was not being honored.

Hard workers during lunch hours. Sometimes incidentals arent stocked or the icecreams out but not the biggest deal. Their drive thru speakers/headset kinda doodoo though

Terrible service, very rude employees, our order was completely wrong and the manager and regular staff were very rude very disappointed in the service provided

I'm allergic to soy. This is one of the few places I can get fried chicken. I drive 15 miles and it's worth it every time.
