Golden Chick, Hurst TX

The Hurst, TX location failed to deliver an order properly today. Every item was incorrect, or left out of the order completely. The manager was incapable of communication at an effective level. After 70 minutes of trying to get a resolution I still didn't have the order for which I paid. Trying to submit a complaint to corporate office also was unsuccessful because after you fill out your form it wants you to sign in as an employee and your time and money are wasted.

Food is pretty good. Served hot and better than other local franchises. But if you see someone who looks like they could be in high school or a college freshman, please double check your order and the math on it because they will most likely goof it up. This has happened to me twice here.

The latest time had me coming back through the driver-thru to get an item that they were trying to charge me again for.after asking for a receipt.that they never gave me. A quick talk with someone else and asking if they "should just give it to her? " when I'm right there, then proceeded to tell me that they won't charge me because I already paid (obviously after telling me for two minutes that I'm incorrect, that difference was tax and a cup of ice, and receiving no apology. NOTE: Tax on $6 and a 40¢ cup of ice does not equal over $4?)

Cooks get 5 stars, cashiers of late get a 2. To the owner, retrain because your windows are consistently slow and this may be a reason.

Love the chicken, catfish, and shrimp. Originally gave 5 stars.

Now 6 months later I placed an order in the drive thru and for the first time ever, my order was wrong. I didn't find out until I was home. I didn't have time to go back to fix my order. So disappointed! I had to take away stars.

Eating in is great. Taking out, not so much. Make sure you check your order because they will forget the sides.

Really good testing chicken strips and if course the gravy! The sides are ok but I guess to be expected from fast food. Service is average and drink selection is ok. Five stars if the Ice cream machine was working.

Taste is always a priority when eating fast food. The taste is always spot in. Never tastes greasy, or leaves a bad flavor. It always leaves you wanting more. Only thing I wish is that the pieces were a bit larger. Will continue to drop in when we are in town.

They forgot to give me my lunch order. I didn't have time to eat by the time I reminded them. Left very mad and unhappy. Didn't get an apology. I got an excuse about the person who prepared the meal.

Nothing beats homemade, but the catfish here is really good! I was surprised it was from a fast food place.

Went through DT after work ordered 8piece mix meal with 2 sides. Got home and found I was given 8 pieces legs and thighs. Called for $22and some change I expected 2 legs 2 thighs 2 beasts 2 wings. Which is what I ordered. I have now driven 26 miles home. There policy is to return the chicken. I was not a happy camper. Lady said she would be working the next day and would replace the chicken. Thinking ok. Next day walk in for afraid about what might happen if went back through DT. Wait for 20 minutes to get up to the register while other people just left. Not the Lady I talked with Day before another was sooo rude. Saying it would be another 20 minutes had no leg or thighs because they had just sold out. Again super rude saying is that OK? I said not really but at this point I’m stuck. Finally the lady I spoken with day before said just give here breasts and wings. Needless to say Golden Chicken has lost customers who loved the products but the sides of bad attitude have cost themselves a lot of business. Seems like the location in Hurst needs to have some sort of training on Customer Service.

Great food. They stopped selling the wicked wings but chicken and fish are always hot and great taste.

Best service! Seriously, this is a fast food place didn't expect the staff to be so attentive. Food is good I ordered the spicy chicken, not too spicy. My mom ordered the fish and it was really crispy.

Was my first time to this location and was very satisfied. With the exception of the green beams (salty but good). All was very good!

1st time to ever go to Golden Chick, ordered the catfish and the man said it would take 8 minutes. No problem, 30 minutes later I get my order. When I asked what took so long, nobody knew.

Fried Okra just is not as good as the other Chicken strip place, nor are the strips of chicken and Golden Chick3n is more expensive than the other.

Great! Love the taste of the chicken and catfish. I could make a meal on just the sweet rolls and mashed potatoes they are so yummy! And the sweet tea, just perfect!

I didn't eat here for years then when I finally did I was amazed! Love their fish! Great veggies! And free ice cream!

I have eaten at a lot of Golden Chick locations. Good quality is very consistent it is always good. I think it is one of the higher-priced "Chicken" locations.

Been eating here for 20+ years. Their tenders are the best. Great marinade and hand battered golden fried crispy goodness. Staff is always friendly. Avoid the lunch rush if possible, that is unless you have an hour for lunch. The lotta zing spice is great on just about everything. And dine-in customers get a free ice cream cone. Your kids will love it.

Good quality food & fried catfish. Eat in best part is a free soft serve cone. Mmmmmm delish!
