Gold's Gym / FITNESS PROJECT: Conroe

I have been coming to this location since it was Gold's Gym about 5 years ago. Now that it is Fitness Project, I cannot recommend this gym enough! The staff is AMAZING! Super friendly and welcoming, and I love that I see familiar faces everyday who are happy to say hi. The gym is constantly being cleaned, which is reassuring. I look forward to working out everyday now. 10/10 recommend!

I love this gym! The staff is amazing and so welcoming and encouraging. The place is always so clean and well kept. There are so many options to choose from when working out.

Great clean gym, lots of parking, and the staff is always super nice! Plenty of equipment too so even after work I can always find something open which is awesome!

Favorite gym to go to! Staff is so friendly. They have a variety of everything and keep the place clean. If I could change anything about this gym it would be to stay open later on the weekends but that’s just cause I love spending all my time there. The manager Canyon is such a friendly awesome person. He’s always greeting everyone with a smile.

The staff is super nice! Both of my kids enjoy coming here! The girls really are amazing with kids. The front desk staff is always welcoming and management.

Awesome gym no matter where you stand in life. My kids love the play care! I pick them up from school everyday and they ask if they can go “workout”. The girls are amazing with them. Front desk is super encouraging, and the body scans help them direct you to workouts that best fit your needs.

I’ve been going to this gym for years and the quality of service has never changed, it’s excellent. You will always be greeted with a smile. The gym is constantly being cleaned when I am there. Bathrooms are always spotless. You get used to seeing the same smiling faces and everyone respects each other. The sauna is a plus! A great place to relax. When my kids attend the kids club they are well taken care of and enjoy their time!

Great. Friendly staff. Good equipment, but people never re-rack their weights who work out.
They leave them everywhere.

Don't even waste your time here they will charge you with hidden fees and will not help you in any way. Don't make the same mistake I and so many other's have made just run away!

The kids club is phenomenal from the staff to the toy options. The gym itself is lacking as far as the equipment lay out. It’s a cluster and a maze to get around equipment. The old location had a much better lay out.

I Like this gym a lot, the trainers and workers are great! The classes are amazing. Only thing is the new guy they hired Israel? Seems to like to stare. ALOT and makes me uncomfortable while I’m working out. Can he try to not stare so much?

I am new to Texas and New to Gold’s Gym. I had to do an assessment whether Iseral the “FM manager” as he calls himself told me that my body fat was 33% and for my height that put me overweight. I have currently lost 170lbs so to here that I was STILL overweight made me fee horrible. I am 5’6 and 156lbs.then he didn’t give me a tour or show me where anything was.complete waist of my time

Management is horrific, especially the manager of membership services. I have moved out of the state and called at least 8 times, sent an email and left several messages to cancel my personal training sessions and no one calls or emails you back. Terrible customer service! Extremely frustrated the way I’ve been treated after being a member for over a year and a half. Elliott is an incompetent manager that doesn’t take care of his customers. Extremely unprofessional. STAY AWAY!

Font desk guy was rude to me from the moment I walked in, looked annoyed that I interrupted him from his phone. He treated me like I was stupid and beneath him for not knowing I would have to fill out paperwork for a travel pass since I usually work out at another location. If I ever move to this area I'll be switching gyms instead of going here.

Hidden fees and squirrelly tactics. Not to mention the equipment is not that nice.
I was charged multiple times per month (up to three) and when I signed up I was told I’d get the card to scan in on my next visit. I showed up to workout with the paper card and was told I could not workout because I haven’t done some BS assessment that I had to schedule.

Stay away from this gym!

Be AWARE that this gym will charge you hidden fees. I had a gym and tanning membership and was charged up to $73 in “maintenance fees”. Once you give them your bank information they turn it over to another corporation and wipe their hands of you. You won’t get help with any info about your account either. Hopefully this helps so it doesn’t happen to someone else.

The front desk receptionist never acknowledges anyone. He never ever looks up from his cell phone. If you need something good luck because he is too busy using his cell phone. The only time he acknowledges anyone is when he is trying to get a phone number for a membee. Is he the receptionist or is golds his personal office

Gold's gym is such a scam. Why the hell do you need to go through a financing company to get a gym membership? Am I taking out a loan to go to the dang gym? They way gold's gym has their memberships set up is confusing. Noone should have to go through a financing company to go to a dang gym. I do want to warn: there's no way to cancel your membership without the financing company telling you, you need to pay 800$ in order to cancel your membership.

What a bummer to read such terrible reviews. I was hoping to leave the y in order to have a gym with more equipment but after the reviews I've read I'm staying away.

I signed up for a personal trainer last week. Lots of $$. Now I am starting the new week and no one has still called. The packages they offer is HORRIBLE. My suggestion would be go with another gym. If you expect results and for someone to take you seriously.
